You mean applying to the schools? Yes it's too early. Schools won't even be accepting fall 2022 applications now. What you can do if you haven't is prepare ahead of time. Write exams, send transcript to Wes (if you are evaluating), start mailing GCs about funding and professors about RA. Get your references ready so that recommendation letters won't be a problem when the time comes.
Then around September, you can start applying to the schools.

Call the international admissions office. Most likely, they haven't received your supporting documents. They apologized to me yesterday. I sent my supporting documents, immediately after my application, but for some reasons they didn't check it. My application has been given a priority. You might want to try that too.

Edited: I was advised to also apply for graduate assistantship on their website so they could forward all documents to the department for consideration. Good luck!

Find someone in the school to help you get a money order of $30 at the store and drop it at the school international student office or if you don't have anyone in the school and lives in another state. Let the person get a $30 money order at the store and send it through USPS priority mail to the school, it cost $9 and you will be given a tracking number.

Thanks for this explanation. It helped alot. Also, my apologies for late replies. I don't know how it got out of my sight all these days.

Alas they kept to the April 15th deadline.

My admission to University of Pittsburgh just came in and I'm glad but they have not said anything about funding instead they gave me a Faculty Adviser that advised me to contact Professors (tough process).
Note that Pittsburgh gave me a very formal admission letter with Dean signature and other authorizations so I guess each school with their style.

I don't think they they'll lie that your application is still under review though... from what I have seen, most people haven't gotten admitted for the Fall semester, especially if the school has a high number of applicants.

and I still guess it's early to start sending out applications because, you are not meant to get your visa until up to 120 days before school starts...and it's about 160 days at the moment...we should be patient and hope for the best.



...about the admission letter, I don't think you have any problem since they said they've accepted you. You can also check the application portal and see if there's anything like accepted there (to ease your mind). The formal letter isn't totally important, the VO might not ask for it....You can always send a reminder email to your department about it in about a month to your interview date and tell them about the urgent need. Worst comes to worst, you can print the email that shows you have been accepted & your funding...your I-20 should have all this information though.

Choose the earliest date on your dashboard like that, then request for an emergency appointment once your program start date is within 60 days.

So her statement of account won't have any name matching with mine even though she's my blood sister. Do I need any supporting documents while going to the embassy with her statement of account?

You can. It's fine to do so. It's always advisable to use a statement as recent as you can get. 1-2 weeks old is perfect but there's nothing wrong with a month old statement too.

see this post. And yes, you can pay your sevis anytime but it must be done before 72 hours to your interview

It doesn't really matter. He can do either first. He can pay the visa fee, book an appointment and fill his ds form later. The important thing to know is that you must complete the form, submit it and put the form number on your cgi appointment page and you should do these before 72 hours to your interview
