But what are the economic benefits of these things? Just asking

THIS IS THE VALUE OF THE ARTEFACTS AND ANTIQUITIES:

Someone flies to Nigeria, checks into a Nigerian hotel, buys made in Nigeria goods and paid for Nigerian services, pay to enter the museum, takes the memory back home and relates to others who will do the same

MULTIPLIED by all the people that will be coming nearly everyday.

Many countries don't have crude oil but survive almost entirely on tourism.

Museum... People go pay to go see and that's money raised... Children get free access to these museums and educate themselves to be proud of where we as people come from, besides if you don't know where you coming from how would you know where you going to?... Lastly forieng tourist will bring millions of dollars to come see and spend time in your country... They will stay in hotels, buy things and food to eat, taxi drivers will earn tourist money, government will collect taxes and visa money from forieng visitors, banks will make profits from forieng exchange transactions such as visa or MasterCard etc... Lastly Nigeria will be respected and thousands and thousands of people will get jobs just from a museum.

Honestly though you asking this question is not a tragedy but it shows why we as Nigerians never see NEPA for one full month or why we get no clean or pipe water where ever we live in this country... Our politicians are a reflection of we the people.

The countries who stole them know their benefits. These countries will generate huge revenue from tourists who will visit their museums and pay handsomely to see some works of arts from historical Africa. Unfortunately, after it's return to Nigeria, some officials may sneak out these stuffs and re-sell them back to Europe using black markets. There is nothing a black man cannot do

The most dangerous race. They have no sense of pride, they don't love their own skin that's why they hate on their brothers and sisters and they cannot think for themselves.

The black race is definitely a curse to mankind .

Yes! Louder! The more I fought for enlightenment of black people around me to think of themselves as equal to the white people or their black leaders, the more I realized a vast majority are already educated on these issues but have chosen to remain ignorant and silent.

Please commit suicide tomorrow. It is time to stop the belief that ‘children are a blessing’. It isn’t when parents are in living in abject poverty.

Very thoughtful of you. However, the question of what it's economic benefit wud be stands to reason.
Wud those tourist who travelled to Mexico want to come to Nigeria just to get a live glimpse at it again ?.
Who wud want to come to a country where the security of lives and properties is absolutely @ it's ground state ?
Locally, how many Nigerians don even chop 'beleful' before dem fit comfortably go see artifacts?
If u argue from the point of view that it wud kind of inform us more of our heritage/ culture, I might listen to that.
It has almost Zero economic impact on us. We need milestone economic Achievements.
To take proper of zoo animals is a big challenge in this country let alone a non living thing.
Countries dey yarn of space exploration Una dey yarn abt precolonial archaic craft.

We want it because it is OURS. PERIOD. There's no greater explanation needed. This backward mentality is why white people have been able to take everything from black people because we don't value the least of our things as if it were gold. Why don't you go to the U.S. and try to steal a broken tattered letter in a museum written 200 years ago and see how quickly they give you life in prison. So just stfu. I've had it with idiotic Africans.

All stolen African artifacts will be returned not out of the goodness of heart of those who stole it but because they know what is coming and the times we are living in. You would start to see a floodgate of artifacts being returned.

Lol, they must have made a dummy copy and sent that over. Nigeria will not bother to verify its authenticity.
