The other said "matt won't come out good on the walls because it wasn't screeded" a b d he emphasized on me using text cote instead of matt .please who amongst them is being honest? I don't want to mess up things by making the wrong decision. Please my beautiful people advise me and I need to start the painting by Monday.

A bag is 20kg and it’s sold N2,000.

A 20kg bag of tiles adhesive according to the *manufacturer will cover 5sqm and you won’t need sand.

A 50kg bag of OPC according to the *manufacturer will cover 4 - 5sqm and you I’ll still need sand.

This is something you’d also find interesting. There’s specification for notch trowel usage.

Ask any tiler out there, what size of trowel is he using, he’d just tell you “Oga, that one no mean. I go put cement well well.”

I've used similar products extensively. It will work and work well as long as the surface is prepared.

To be clear I prefer either method.

•its not 100% water Resistant like Vinyl

probably white cement was used for the tile grouting. Just get your Portland cement, mix with small quantity of water stirr until it forms a paste, then repeat the grouting, allow it to dry then clean the tiles.

You may use matte but you should prime the wall before painting so it can come out better. You may use textured paint also but it's not in vogue again and you would have to screed over it if you decide to change it in future. It's more costly screeding textured surface.

My suggestion is that we should start exploring alternative to cement in Nigeria. The owner of the project next to my ongoing build is planning to use Supafix after I introduced it to him last week.

I’ll be doing some demos in the coming days.

A nairalander (whom I don’t know) ordered some quantities from me in January. I really wish he could give his feedback on the product.

It’s cheaper and better than OPC. A good way to explore is to do comparative costing between OPC and the supafix in smaller rooms.

These tiles at my uncle's place are almost 10 years old. The white lines in-between them ain't cool with us the younger Gens, but him & older Gens no send. He said we can do what we want tho.
