The National President of Ohanaeze Youth Council(OYC), the apex youth wing of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Comrade Igboayaka O. Igboayaka has described the new appointment of the Acting Inspector-General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba by President Muhammadu Buhari as an entrance route to cause the disintegration of Nigeria.

Comrade Igboayaka speaking to 9News Nigeria correspondent in Owerri on Friday 9th April noted that by his action, Buhari has divided Nigeria, saying that “what’s remaining soonest is a full-blown revolution triggered by marginalization, injustice and hatred Buhari has shown against the people of the old Eastern region.”

“The new appointment of Ag. IGP by Buhari and the Aso Rock cabals is the height of administrative impunity, mediocrity and insensitivity on federal character,” Igboayaka stated.

“It is on record and also a fact that DIG Moses Jitoboh from Bayelsa state has nine years left in his career, and with the recent amendment of the Police Act 2020 which stipulates that for an officer to be qualified for the appointment as the IGP, he or she must have at least 4yrs left before retirement.


“In a bid to deny an Eastern person the opportunity of becoming the next IGP, the cabals in Aso Rock hurriedly promoted Moses Jitoboh from AIG to DIG just to disqualify him and make way for a mediocre like AIG Usman Baba that will retire in two years time to be the Inspector General of Police.

“I, therefore, use this opportunity to call on well-meaning individuals close to those on the corridors of power to advise Mr President who has stretched the elastic limit of Nigeria’s unity much to its end where it will cut.

“Unfortunately, today the most senior and most qualified and experienced DIG Moses Jitoboh has been retired just to pave the way to qualify an unqualified person.

” It’s a pity that new IGP has boasted that he will stop secession agitation in Nigeria, but he knows that his appointment as new IGP against Mr Moses Jitoboh who is qualified than him is part of the reasons agitation for Nigeria disintegration has increased to large proportion. So what Mr President and, Aso Rock cabals have done is a lift of more increase in Biafra agitation, Buhari in all ramification has now justified Biafra agitation by this injustice done to Mr Moses Jitoboh because he is from old Eastern Nigeria”

“Nigeria is currently at its peak of insecurity and tension from all the six regions yet Buhari’s interest is just focused on the Fulani agenda while the country is engulfed with security crises on daily basis, and the only thing the cabals could do is to murder professionalism and commission cronyism and tribalism coated with mediocrity,” Igboayaka lamented.
