Mine happened in NYSC camp, he came to our room and found me still preparing for the parade, this is because yesterday's activity was too tasking and went to bed late in that cold weather, rather than listen to my plea, he just too a bucket of water under the bunk, and poured everything on me, then he sent me out. That day, I felt like hitting him but I controlled my anger. 3 Likes |

babajeje123:Nigerians are too cool. Haven passed this in the hands of military officers when you know you are innocent, the beast and devil in you ought to be awaken. If you cannot kill them physically, you kill them spiritually, it works. There are many people waiting to kill spiritually, all they need you to do is bring a name of someone that wronged you and the case is history, and these military guys are a good example to use because they clearly wronged you. You Nigerians should learn how to fight back that's the only way things can change. Many uniformed people die mysteriously or get killed on duty without knowing why, this is one of the many reasons cos not everybody is forgiven and ordinary. Some communities once someone dies in a family untimely, they must inquire spiritually what killed the person and devil help whoever have hand in the death, because the person will show clearly on a mirror no jokes and whatever curse the family lay on that person is a done deal. I just pity some of these foolish, ignorant uniformed guys sha 9 Likes |

None but it almost happened few years ago. I was on my way to a friend's sister's birthday that day and I decided to dress a bit rugged. I wore a black T-shirt, army green combat Jean and timberland boot......I was also with a brown backpack containing the gift I bought for my friend's sister. It was as if my neighbour knew what would happen, when he saw me he said. "Ah ah! Which kain dressing be this na, you don turn mopol abi soldier"? I just smiled at him and continued my journey. I got to the junction and was waiting for bike but none was coming so I decided to take a lil walk till I get one. I saw an army Hilux packed in front of a hotel and some soldiers standing close to it. They were staring at me as I was approaching but I kept my cool and pretended as if I didn't notice but deep down I was getting scared. I tried as much as possible to avoid eye contact with them but I was observing with corner eye because I knew they would call me.......I never even waka pass dem well sef nai one soldier say "hey you, come here! I didn't bother to turn before I dashed off like Hussain Bolt because I was familiar with the area....I run enter one compound before I see myself I don burst out for another street......Only God nai know wetin for happen to me dat day assuming I nor run. 28 Likes 3 Shares

Was traveling in a mini bus and on getting to a military check point during the regime of Abacha, the military boys asked the driver to pull over and as he did so, they started asking him to settle them before he could continue, whole they were still arguing, some of us alighted from the bus because they were wasting a lot of time going back and forth with their bargain. So I decided to enquire from the conductor how much they were asking for and he told me and I said it's too exorbitant and one of their friends maybe he's also a military but on mofti heard me and asked me what I said and before I could reply he dropped his traveling bag and pounced on me raining blows on me from all angles including uppercuts, he tore my shirts and I was left with singlets alone before the ones at the checkpoint intervened and ask me to go back into our bus, while using their koboko on me at the same time though it wasn't as painful as the blows. I quietly obeyed with a swollen face and torn shirts. (Note that the one that beat me up was not traveling in our vehicle, he was traveling in another vehicle and was exchanging pleasantries with the ones at the checkpoint when they stopped our vehicle) Since then I've learnt to mind my business whenever I am in their midst . 12 Likes 1 Share |

Kingdemu: It's not spirit of fear guy, although I have to mention that the average westerner is known to avoid death at all cost, even if their dignity is taken from them. But the thing is that in the North, most families have one or two members in the military or police or DSS as senior officers. The recruits know this and try to avoid getting into trouble with them superiors. Also, the average northerner, like the easterner, is willing to die for his right and will not accept being stripped of his human dignity. Cheers man. 17 Likes 2 Shares |

Nothing much though.. I was travelling to cotonou two soldiers walked up to me around Iyanoba, they told me the bag I carried was a camouflage lol.. I just told them it wasn't camo and they should compare it with the colour of their uniform cos theirs was green and my bag was brown , I wasn't even scared honestly.. they just warned me never to try it again or else..i just look them nd said no problem.. 3 Likes |

Military really don't have problem with civilians. I met them during nysc and I liked them especially my platoon instructor. It is the men in black(Police)that always like to turn innocent people to criminals because of bail money. While police is a friend of criminals and enemy of good people |
