kaludestiny10:Wide spread insecurity, high galloping inflation, high cost of fuel, geometric raise in cost of goods & services, high cost of agricultural produce occasioned by food insecurity (no thanks to fulani terrorist activities), high unemployment & poverty rate, and now printing currency to fund budgetary provision are signs of a COLLAPSED ECONOMY. Nigeria is about to collapse on the force of her own weight thanks to late buhari's regime. The USSR experience that led to her disintegration in 1989 is about to repeat itself in Nigeria. To me this is good news. 26 Likes 1 Share |

Printing money for non existing service. Although there maybe more than meet the eyes. Let's go back to basics and harness our human resources than the natural resources. But all these greedy politicians wouldn't like it. They prefer to award dubious inflated contracts on paper to their cronies and find a way to defend it after collecting their share from the sum. A foundation build on lies is problematic. When these states prepare budgets they wouldn't consult their locals on how to move their entity forward. But when FG fails to meet up with their egoistic allocations, they start crying foul. This is Evil. The raining season approaches,we should be hearing of the results of their pro activity in providing security, tractors, fertilizers etc to encourage farmers and subsidize farming since the price of petroleum has been increased which surely have direct impact on productivity. But no,Double mouth speaks on printing money. One day you will eat the money. The only thing politicians hate is intimidation. That is why they include kidnappers ransomes in their budgets after using & dumping them. Politicians are cowards 6 Likes 1 Share |

What is the point of even leaving my whole money in Naira? Is it not to hedge with another stable currency or just enter crypto (although it’s too volatile) We’re going the way of Zimbabwe |

saaron: In economic point of view, unnecessary printing of new currencies will make a lot of money be in circulation, as there will be a trickle-down effect, as such when money becomes too much in circulation, the economy experiences money illusion, and inflation and recession follows. I wonder if buhari has any economic team in his cabinet, because no sane government will print money to share to some group of persons who will squander the money on luxury goods, plunging the the economy into a deep recession sh!t. And the low-income earners become poorer, and the high income earners becomes richer from exploiting the poor, as most of the money that gets into the hands of the poor, one way or the other goes back to the rich through exploitation and the vicious circle of poverty continues, from one Generation to the next. In fact if I begin analysis this thing, headache go catch me, abeg this country aff tire me 13 Likes |

It's pathetic but that's what most govts are doing these days (Covid era). Even the US govt is printing and borrowing at an alarming rate. Next generations of Americans will be paying forever. https://www.usatoday.com/in-depth/money/2020/05/12/coronavirushow-u-s-printing-dollars-save-economy-during-crisis-fed/3038117001/ 1 Like 2 Shares |

okay! after insulting the government what next? let me see, we move on to the next thread about government failure and wail again and it goes on and on and on yet nothing changes for good but getting worst instead. By now we should know that wailing and lamenting changes nothing, the change we desire cannot be given on a platter of gold we need to do more than just Lamentations. 4 Likes |

Nigeria needs t diversify and open new channels for wealth, and one way they can do that is gradually pulling out of the OPEC, Investing in social services, stamping out corruption, improving security and image of the country and improving the naira against dollar! Nigeria is not poor, one of the problem with Nigeria is the strength of its currency against the dollar standard, its unfair! 1 Like 1 Share |
