Seems you are now getting the majority problem of religious Nigerians and also understand why advance and developed nation don't do religion

Those developed nation don't need what religion offers, they already have it third world country need economics breakthrough hence the need for religion

Way out is to force our leaders to build a better economy, ensure only people who knows about economy and governance made it to power houses because you organising a relief day is good but not sustainable
Well said.

God bless you all niaraland members.

For a little now I have been privileged to serve God as a pastor in a newly planted church, to the Glory of God. There is no great building yet, just a temporary structure made with wood. I am not bothered about that, because humans are the church and not the building.

Now my experience is this, I have come to realize that many of us are going through economical problem, rather than spiritual problem. Anyday I am sitting in church for counseling purpose, majority of people that comes for counseling are those looking for what to eat, you will hear things pls pastor whatever you have give me to eat.

One day I shed tears, because I could not have anything to help some persons. My conclusion is this, churches should help each other. I am setting up a day for compassion purpose, even though we are not much in number yet, members we be encouraged to bring what they have to help others.

419!. You are looking for fools to scam. What makes you a Pastor?

1) there is one application on my phone, namely, FACEMOJI KEYBOARD. Na this app dey convert anything I type into its icon (on WhatsApp, Facebook, etc.)

2) I use Chrome browser to open nairaland.

If I type love, it will bring the icon, and I click on it.

U must use the facemoji keyboard as ur default phone keyboard before it can bring an icon for any object u type.

Pic 2 - how it suggests.

Pic 3 - the application from Google Play Store.

Don't know if this helps the way I put it.

Thanks for this detailed explanation

This is one thing 90% of churches in Nigeria fails to understand that church is a place of hope for the less privilege, those who are handicapped, etc.
I'm still wondering why the church will call on its members whenever they have a project to execute, or when the church is in problem for help, and the members will genuinely help.
But when the said members have an issue, more especially financial, and they come to church for help, but the church will do little to nothing for them, rather the church will tell them to go to God in prayers.
Why so
Church is a place of hope for the less privileged? undecided

Yes, the church should be at the forefront of giving welfare to the flock.
It is unfortunate that many churches operating today are pseudo churches.
On your part, do your best to help those you can help and leave the rest to God.
According to whom? The business owner or the government? undecided

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
9. So, you shepherds, listen to the word of the Lord!
10. The Lord God says, “I am against the shepherds. I will demand my sheep from them. I will fire them. They will not be my shepherds anymore. Then the shepherds will not be able to feed themselves, and I will save my flock from their mouths. Then my sheep will not be food for them.”
11. The Lord God says, “I myself will be their Shepherd. I will search for my sheep and take care of them.
12. If a shepherd is with his sheep when they begin to wander away, he will go searching for them. In the same way I will search for my sheep. I will save them and bring them back from all the places where they were scattered on that dark and cloudy day.
13. I will bring them back from those nations. I will gather them from those countries and bring them back to their own land. I will feed them on the mountains of Israel, by the streams, and in all the places where people live.
14. I will lead them to grassy fields. They will go to the place high on the mountains of Israel and lie down on good ground and eat the grass. They will eat in rich grassland on the mountains of Israel.
15. Yes, I will feed my flock, and I will lead them to a place of rest.” This is what the Lord God said.

16. “I will search for the lost sheep. I will bring back the sheep that were scattered and put bandages on the sheep that were hurt. I will make the weak sheep strong, but I will destroy the fat and powerful shepherds. I will feed them the punishment they deserve.”

God bless you....Pastor do you know that before Jesus Christ healed the sick, he first of all had compassion on them (Luke 7:13, Matt 20:34, Matt 15:32). If you follow this path you will see God in your ministry because Jesus cannot reside in a place where there is no love (1 John4:20). God strengthen you Sir....
No He will not find God in his ministry because God fired all the so-called shepherds from his administration. So what this pastor needs to decide is whether he will cease getting in between God and His people or he will continue to build his own kingdom here on earth for himself and his members.

Here is another so-called 'pastor' who should never have set foot in a pulpit, someone who really does not understand the basic MESSAGE OF THE BIBLE: SIN, not God's inability to keep the world fed, housed, healed or maintained, is the issue.
Now my experience is this, I have come to realize that many of us are going through economical problem, rather than spiritual problem
Really
Isn't that very different from what you have in Isaiah 59:1-2, pastor? Was Christ wrong, pastor, when He taught people to seek first the kingdom of God and that all other things would be added to them?
With this your postulation, it would appear an economics professor or a social worker should rather be in your post.
The problem of the world, Mr Pastor, is spiritual. It is SIN.
God is capable, not only to solve all economic and social problems once the sin issue is removed from the world but to make the world run without the problems.
Those who know God situate correctly the problem of man.
No one is supposed to be called a pastor if the main teaching of the Bible is not understood by the person.
What is sin? Sin is disobedience of the teachings/commandments of Jesus Christ, the Law, and the New Covenant of God to the world. undecided

As for being called a pastor, no one is meant to occupy that seat where God's flock is concerned. Those who have set themselves up as shepherds over God's flock do so against God.

He honours his words but the death of Jesus brought salvation to man. The old statement was always about Laws but Jesus came to bring mercy. That same mercy you live on presently. God thinks differently.

The Death of Jesus Christ made God change His mind? undecided

Jesus Christ is the New Covenant Law of God that was prophesied through the Prophets, even in Ezekiel 34. And in His teachings, Jesus Christ told you that He alone is the Shepherd to His flock, echoing the same message that God said to you in Ezekiel 34. Why do you refuse to listen to Jesus Christ? undecided

His death was the completion of His New Covenant Law to you so at least pay attention to His teachings to understand why what God said in Ezekial 34 is the same teaching Jesus Christ brought to you in the Gospels? undecided

God told you that He would no longer use humans as shepherds ...declaring that He alone will Shepherd His own flock.

Jesus Christ repeated this very same message to you in John 10 where He declared, among other places, that He alone is Shepherd, Teacher, leader/authority over those who belong in His flock. undecided

You pastors claim to be "called" or "anointed" by God but as you can see, God never did any such . undecided
