Who is now plying his trade in Turkey with his BLISTERING PACE.

The quality which according to Komekn trumps all others and puts Diabate over Nacho.

Funny how he too is also in Turkey. Ghezzal in Turkey with Besiktas and "Blistering Pace" Diabate is at Goztepe with our own Obinna Nwobodo.

While "Good-for-nothing, Open-mouthed, Not-Good-Enough-For-Championship-teams" Iheanacho is bossing England. Lol

He will be as long as He and Napoli finish in the top 4 this season.
He is a striker made for the biggest stage. I really hope Napoli and he bag that UCL spot in the end.

The way napoli players celebrate with osimehn when he scored made me realize that there isn't any personal discord with him rather they're not used to his fast pace style that's why he doesn't get as much ball as he does at SE. Osimehn is a player that thrives on pace, Running etc while napoli thrives on Slow paced football. So, in order for osimehn to excel napoli has to change their philosophy to suit him or osimehn should change his own philosophy to suit napoli style.. Good goal today!

8 games to go. The Battle is indeed getting hotter. Consistency is key for sure but then the next few games could help shape up the final legs of this top 4 race. Atalanta take on Juventus next. Napoli will be home to Inter. Interesting fixtures ahead.

Yet Komekn kept flinging that guy in our faces as if he was a threat to Nacho. I kept hammering he was no striker but nope... Our Warri Allardyce no gree ooo. He said Diabate's BLISTERING PACE could see him feature in a front two also and displace Nacho. Funny times I tell you.

Lol... Definitely Modifying.

I mean it did shift between "Only-Good-For-Championship" and Not good at all.

When I recall those times and how much I persisted in saying Nacho is not finished and will still come good, I just smile now.

TheSuperNerd:
A couple of years ago, TheGoodJoe and I prophesied analytically the coming of the League of Extraordinary Hitmen (of Naija Flavor). cool

Today, we are witnessing that league in action burning Europe up and down with goals and more goals and this is just the beginning of an explosion in the Crazy Attacking depth of the Nigerian Football Team.

I have been harping on the rise of another Golden Generation of Naija players since 2013 (my Pre NL days) and since 2015 here on NL that could go on and dominate the football scene on the African Continent and possibly beyond like the First and Only Golden Generation did back in the '90s. This is part of what inspired the title of this very thread.... "Dawn of a New Era".

So what we are witnessing now and will continue to witness even in the coming seasons is one that doesn't surprise me as I saw it coming. And yes, it is a thing of Great Joy to see something pictured years back finally beginning to manifest in full force.

Naija Football is experiencing another boom of crazily quality options that will make us the most feared team heading in the Afcon in Cameroun come 2022.
The 2021/2022 season promises even better. The near future is very pregnant with more wonders.

Believe me when I say, we are right now the Envy of the Continent in Football.

Come Afcon 2022 (actually 2021 moved to 2022), we have a chance to begin the proper cementing of this new era of Naija Dominance in the Big European scenes.

With good guidance and coaching I foresee this generation surpass the feat of the 94 set

The only position we are lean is the midfield expecially DM position

Imagine boasting of 4 to 5 hitmen doing well in Europe's top leagues is no easy feat

Imagine the likes of torunarigha(hertha Berlin), olise and ejaria (reading), lookman(fulham) joining the fold, the team will be more formidable

I just pray Moffi joins Marseille as rumored, Onuachu joins ac Milan or any other team in a better league, aribo to Lazio
, ekong making the leap to the epl with Watford which seem likely mehn the super eagles can go toe to toe with the best in the world

Some Iheanacho Stats Repeats: Lightening Strikes Twice??

Personally I have been comparing Iheanacho's Breakout Season in 2015/2016 with Man City with his current 20/21 season with Leicester.

His last season (2019/20) before this season saw him finish on 10 goals + 4 assists in all Competitions. A good stats return for a backup forward.
This season have seen the "Alien" Lad go some steps further to build on his showings of last season and so far he has matched his Best EVER Season as a Pro which came when he was still 18-19yrs old at Man City.

Check it out:

1. Iheanacho finished with 14 goals and 5 assists in all Competitions (8 EPL goals inclusive) in his breakout season which also happened to be his first Professional season, 2015/2016.

This season, 2020/2021, Iheanacho has already equalled that entire goals contribution. His 20/21 stats stand at 14 goals and 5 assists in all Competitions as well. And his EPL goals count is also 8 at the moment.

2. Iheanacho scored a Hattrick in 2015/2016. His first Professional Hattrick and it came vs Aston Villa in the FA Cup Fourth Round.

In 2020/21, Iheanacho also scored a Hattrick. His first EPL hattrick and the second professional hattrick of his career. The opponents were Sheffield Utd in an EPL MD28 fixture.

3. Iheanacho had the privilege of operating most times alongside Kun Aguero uptop for Man City in 2015/2016 and played as a Lone CF a few times. One of such times was the day of his First Professional Hattrick vs Aston Villa that same season.

In 2020/21, Iheanacho plays alongside Jamie Vardy uptop for Leicester City. It's only on very few occasions this season he had played alone uptop. Like against Fulham where he scored his first EPL goal of the season in EPL MD22.

4. Iheanacho won a title with Man City in 2015/2016 season. The English League Cup now called the English Carabao Cup.

In 2020/21, Iheanacho will look to win a Title with Leicester City as they take on Southampton in the FA Cup Semifinals for a place in the Final. Game takes place on the 18th of April. Would this Number #4 Click for The Senior Man? wink

Time will tell.

But one thing is certain.... The 2020/21 Iheanacho you see now is 2015/2016 Iheanacho "Reborn" with Upgrades.

Note (P.S): Iheanacho scored and assisted in the same game vs Manchester Utd in 2016/2017 under Pep Guardiola in the Manchester Derby. It was an EPL game. He helped Man City to a 2-1 win.

Fast forward to 2020/21, Iheanacho also scored and assisted in the same game against Manchester Utd. This time for Leicester in an FA Cup Quarterfinals tie. Helped them to a 3-1 triumph.

In a nutshell, this Punishment of Man Utd didn't take place in 2015/16 but took place the following season 2016/2017 while still Under Pep.
