There are amounts you lend to people that are plain ridiculous and questions the sensibility of you, the lender. If you don’t have sense, then it is quite normal that a fool and his money are parted.

I will give you an example;

A guy I knew who works in a hotel as a porter once came to me for a loan. He said his mum was sick and he showed evidence. How much did he ask for? N30,000. This was a guy earning 25k. He said he would pay back in two installments.

I would have been very stupid to believe a guy who earns 25k would pay me 15k each month and survive on 10k. He might have the CHARACTER (willingness to pay), but the CAPACITY is lacking. I simply gave him the money to go pay her hospital bills. If I went on to lend him that money, na me be mumu.

I have no recovery stories. Currently, I only lend to colleagues, we fix ourselves internally. Also if I have given you once and you paid back on time, don’t bother coming a second time, I won’t give. The second time is the trap.
Borrow me N75k, I wan go shop for brown shoes

English master...be deceiving your village people. A British man cant even speak ur local dialect yet they colonised ur ancestors. If anyone must correct me,It should be in my local dialect and not this borrowed language called English.

Stop correcting people, just like u have done to this guy. U guys keep making this white mans language superior over our local dialect is not and it should never be. Fact is,he communicated and we all understand.

Mine was borrowing my ex 20k out of d Allawee I was saving back in 2019, she was 2 return back 2 her own state of deployment after d 21-days in camp. She pleaded wif me 2 borrow her d money so she could get herself sm foodstuffs and cooking utensils claiming all those she went 2 meet failed 2 borrow her and a guy who promised her 2 come collect it resolved 2 request 4 sex 4rm her b4 he could borrow her, I was even pissed hearing such and coupled wif her crocodile tears like her life depend on it, I had 2 succumb 2 her plea. Even thou I couldn't get 2 transfer any sum above 5k per day as I was not having ATM Card then, I made sure I did d transfer on 4-consecutive days. Long story short, we would later had issue and broke up. She had 2 block me via Facebook and also ignore my calls till this day. The money isn't smtin I needed, but wouldn't want 2 let her av it as I felt emotionally and financially defrauded. If there is a way I could retrieve it back, I would, but if otherwise, I would just let go. Lesson learnt.

Thanks for your advice. Just don’t have strength for all that wahala. I loaned him what I can easily forfeit.

Please how did you go about getting a court order against his account and retrieving the money ?
Sent u a pm

I think there are a lot of ways to get your debtor pay you back. In this my case, I approached a lawyer about it but his advice would not be easy for me since the guy was far from me. I rather chose to claim that it was a wrong transfer. Though, I explain to the guy who was processing it off record what really happened. I was just interested in placing restriction on his account so that he could call me. He didn't dispute the claim and the bank had to reverse the fund. While I paid 10% of the amount + 2k for obtaining the order, I also paid 5k plus for legal search report by the bank.

Hahahahaha, your writings cracked my ribs nigga. My experience is similar to yours, only that he is a family man. Quiet understandable but he still showed me paper before I recovered some part of my money.
I was doing business in school, very successfully until the devil prepared NYSC scheme calls, I was confused, didn't know who to manage my store for me since I was posted to a far away state. I met this married man friend of mine whom I had donated blood for his sick daughter in the past cos he had no money to buy blood. Long story short, I gave him my shop to manage, he requested I borrow him 50k (year 2016) to used to invest in addition to what was already in d shop, I did. Baba promised to pay back in a month, 6 months down I didnt get a kobo, he won't pick my calls, later told d wife to do same. My God, people can be ungrateful o
I heard from a neighbor who has a shop close to mine that he bought a brand new bike six weeks after I left for nysc, I took excuse from my ppa, came down baba refused to let me know his house, him and his wife were using me to play ball. They had recolated to a better apartment inside town so he warned his wife never to disclose their new place to me, someone whose trading in my shop with my goods, after a week I was able to locate one of his elder brother inside town, went there and explained everything to him. His elder brother and his wife almost cried for me, they summoned him, after much scolding he reluctantly paid 47k to me on d spot. After I collected the keys to my shop, and locked it up, his wife was begging me I refused to give them back d keys. Till today I never got d balance, they don't call me at all. Hmmmm human beings eeh

Some debtors are so shameless that they will be owing you money, 'll be telling u stories but at d same time, they are busy buying personal properties, knowing fully well they are owing someone money somewhere.

Good thing you never gave in. Stupid Husband, Stupid Wife. Non can advise each other

Daddy show us some love na.
Tell us how you did it.

I never had anyone who supported me financially

Back then, I was broke and Broken and when Jehovah started to bless me, I gift as much as I could and lent out as much as I can till I lent people money and almost became dead broke.

Over N5m is Hanging!

I'm planning to Arrest one of them on December 31st 2021 so that he will celebrate his new year inside Sanko

Please be kind enough to share this with us because these Animals have successfully turned us into beast.

Right now, what I do is this.

I have various accounts and one of the accounts always have little balance inside of it less than N2,000

Anytime someone ask me for money, I simply buy airtime from the account with little balance and when I get the alert, I show them my account balance that there is no money.

I also spin my cash round various business I'm into.

If you want me to loan you, you must be ready to work your ass for that money like I did and also help me in return.

You want N50,000 right?

I have over 30 Lapstops for sale.
Will give them the pictures...videos and price for the laptop and they should add what ever they want ontop of it and if they make the sale, they should keep the Extra while I collect the money for my market. ;Do

The initial flaw I made in this was that, when someone told me he got a buyer for an item, I'd give them the item to make the sale and bring my cash.

My very close neighbor i did that for, made some sales and never brought my money while also collecting his extra ontop.
The other items he ought to sell, baba was using them.

Till today na voice mail.
So if you're to market items and have and you eventually get a buyer, me and you will meet the Buyer and the Buyer MUST PAY INTO MY account.

Once money enters my account, I give you extra you used to sell that item.

Someone actually made a sale for an item and got over N80,000 extra when he needed just N25,000 for his issues.

When I got the alert, I sent him his complete N80,000 and he was shocked asking me why.
Told him a deal is a deal.
I made N10,000 profit after calculating all my expenses while this dude made N80,000 in profit.

They all know that today if you need money from Otikpoko, be ready to sell something that he has becasue dude does not have money in his account and that's one major way I have used to keeping relationships with friends and family.

You need money, I will forward you catalogue of cosmetics I have, laptops I have, phones for sale I have, powerful cosmetics and daily consumable products I have...you also have the prices I'm selling.

Add anything to it, look for buyers, we make the sale together, I collect my own part and you collect your share (not as borrowed money but free cash you worked for).

If you like make you dey die angry, you must be ready to sell goods I have to generate that money you need.

Lost millions lending people cash.

Bunch of ungrateful ingrates. grin

Really?

I don't think it requires much if you know the right exercise, especially for dry shells like us. Those who find it extremely difficult are those with belly fat like my friend Kenneth.

Even ten thousand years of rigorous training won't help him.

And it comes naturally to some, my Landlord's son has never exercised yet he has nicely cut abs. I will soon start envying him when mine finally disappears. They're still noticeable when I am hungry grin.

Yea, I have abs, or should I said had? I don't know, I believe they're still there but you need to be on the right angle to see them.

I have seen guys with these so called natural abs, but I believe they inadvertently triggered its formation with their lifestyles. Just like labourers who have never entered the gym, but if you have to mix that many bags of cement everyday- even the gym go dey fear you.

True talk.
There's this girl I liked and based on the fact that i felt some sort of chemistry with her and I thought she was into me, I asked her out and she told me that she wasn't ready for a relationship (I just thought she was playing hard to get) , but sometimes later she called me and told me to loan her some money , I got cautious and told her I'd loan her half of it (although I saw it more like a gift under the pretense that it was a loan), I used that opportunity to tell her about my feelings for her once more but she kept on insisting that she wasn't interested in a relationship, that made me change my mind about gifting her the money (since I never told her it was a gift but still a loan).... I called her severally to pay me back but she has been posting me.

Naija girls matter tire me, you don't want to date a guy but you feel entitled to his money....
Now I truly understand why Mosdii always says "Naija girls are useless, all of them..."

The two people who made me stop giving money to anyone happen to be MEN. So please, leave your gender bias behind, it's pointless.

The first called me and being rather close, I thought he would pay back. I should've known never to trust a man and money. Especially a poor man. He sounded so humble, he was so much in need. I didn't want to prevent him from getting something good in life by turning him down. When the time had elapsed, and I wanted my money back, I called him, and you wouldn't believe the idiotic man, he began to threaten me. Till today I can't imagine why, but most men are daft, dangerous and can't be trusted. Most of them are looking for how to eat women's money, as shamelessly as they can because women don't usually complain about men ripping them off, and other men will come and meditate that you should leave the man be with your money.

The second slowpoke pretended he never received the money, after thanking me for it. It never occurred to him to repay it. It is one of the reasons I cut him off.

I would mention the third man, but, you can already see that Nigerian men can't be trusted to repay and they are treacherous fools once money is involved.

I hope you like the narrative. From the above you must've concluded the general nature of all men.

Na so one guy wey i been dey date come borrow money from me for business, he asked for almost 500K, was calling my line per second during that period because of this money. I eventually gave him 100K (an amount I can easily forfeit). Immediately the money hit his account, he stopped calling my line.

After three weeks, I learnt through a friend that he has gotten married to another lady. Guy carry my money go marry another person. When I reminded him about the money, he became angry and started telling me how he regret borrowing money from me.
Aside from the loan, the guy was taking a lot of things from me to give to his secret girlfriend. Well, I have learnt my lessons through the hard way never to borrow or give any man, boyfriend or not my money.

You and I are in the same category, she tricked me to lend her 30k for her school runs which I did cos she said it was deadline that very day and had no other options except me, I did it not because I am dating her but because I trusted her to pay back, but she had her reasons for doing that as she was already dating someone else and got married just last month, I have asked for my money severally all lies and excuse here and there followed with insults and telling dis I know how many people are owing her and how she gave her life savings to a guy she was dating to process traveling abroad and jilted her, which I know it's all lies.. Some persons can be very ungrateful and mean.. I still dey on top your matter, you can't take me for a fool, that's the height of it all..
