we are just about even but on a good day they will beat us because they have superior organization. That said we all know these kind of teams are unlikely going to be your opponents if you manage to make it to the second round.

Lol

All the teams you mentioned are better than us no doubt

Now tell me if Denmark Sweden and co are better than us
Nigeria has shown via friendlies that they can beat average European countries. But we only meet one average country during the world cup unless something changes with our rankings.

Modified:
Our golden key is winning the 2022 afcon. If we do so, our rankings will rise dramatically and we might be top in Africa. Now, given that the time between the AFCON and the World Cup is short, nothing much might change and we could see ourselves in Pot 2, assuming we've qualified. Now that's a head start to the World Cup.

Ok, let's say, we drew in friendlies and beat two average European countries in our last two outings.

We just need to win AFCON first. It will help our rankings.

Beat who na? Ukraine? Czech? Serbia? Cos those were our last meetings with European teams. The last European team we beat was Iceland, and they're dropping everyday in the rankings. Aside them and Poland, we got beat every other time except against Ukraine.

IDENNAA:

When Agu was playing week in week out Rohr ignored him just like he did with Onyekuru who every "sane" person knows merited to be in the team abead of Moses Simeon. If it wasn't for the fact that Iwobi was down and Kalu and Simon weren't available we would never know what Onyekuru could bring to the team. And , you think you are sensible ?

Even , against the friendly with Algeria Rohr ignored Agu and the U17 boy who were natural midfield operators and pushed his English loving Ajayi who made a mess. It was not until the game was literally lost that he introduced Agu and the little boy to go kill themselves, which is typical of European coaches....abeg , ffuck Rohr a million time!

Now , since Aribo started playing for Nigeria what is the impact he has made on the team, so far ? I put it to you that the only reason Aribo is playing for Nigeria is based on his English privilege , which Rohr has no problem validating. Rohr has never given Agu a clear opportunity to prove himself simply because he has no confidence in his talent. Of course , we all know you have a loose nut in your brain , hence your penchant to make careless utterances.

The only match Agu was given a bit of chance was against Zambia in the world cup qualifiers and he played excellently. I will never rate Aribo ahead of Agu because I know Agu has more talent just like I will not put Aina ahead of Awaziem.

Thankfully, Rohr will soon leave and all these foreign born otu will get a reality check.

Agu that I watched against Algeria? That guy deserves to be flogged mercilessly for his performance. Trying to dribble and impress as a DM when he should be humping the ball away to attackers. Algeria almost snatched the ball away from him once, which would have led to their second goal.

It is blasphemy to compare Agu and Aribo. I even prefer Onyeka a million times over Agu.

we beat Iceland, drew Ukraine and drew Brazil(even though not a European country). With the way our squad is, we can match an average European country

To me even winning the afcon won't be an easy feat. We have to overcome the likes of Senegal, civ, ghana, Egypt, Algeria, morocco, Tunisia and even Mali to achieve that

The above mention teams hv good players littered all over top leagues in Europe like us so we shouldn't expect such achievement to be an easy one as many here think

We need to set pride and past glory aside and embrace facts n reality

I am not saying we aren't good enough to win the trophy next year but it won't be a walk in the park

2nd round for World Cup

After we go claim say we get good players

2nd round is a failure

Average European teams we are better than do make it to the quarter finals but na second round be una target grin

Left to me, I strongly believe that we have what it takes to win the AFCON and go as far as quarter finals at the world cup..
The problem is the coaching.. It's the same problem a lot of African teams always have.. Poor coaching..
I'm not saying Rohr should go, but if he can improve on the tactical aspect of his coaching,at least to be on level with his man management skills, it would be a huge step up for the team..

No Emmy you ain't totally right though you made good points. Egypt, Ghana and Tunisia do not have good players scattered all over Europe, but you were right to have mentioned Ghana as a threat because they are our perennial rivals.

i mentioned Egypt and Tunisia because when it comes to African they re power houses that no team should undermine

The Tunisian hv less quality player wise but boast of compactness and understanding which hv made them one of the most underrated but feared teams from the northern part of the continent while half of the Egyptian team is from AL ahly which gives them the nod ahead of others with regards to understanding and bonding

Did you know that in a Nigeria / Ghana combined 11, only Thomas Partey would be making the team?

Kudus is a good AM but he has spent more time on the treatment table than in the pitch to be considered ahead of Iwobi in the AM position.

civ in no distance time may take over African football with he caliber of players they have in their possession currently, same as the Senegal n morocco

Na this teams I go see finish dey vex for pple wey dey against the nff n Rohr going after foreign born players to switch to us.

We must not have them all but I am of full support of getting those who will add more quality to what we have currently
