Please friends, is it wise to use my wife as sponsor to apply for f1 visa considering that she is just a federal civil servant. |

s Emanex18: Tylerbaby: I don't know if appearing with both works but if not, you can try filling a new ds-160 form correcting the sevis number and updating your cfg with the new code of ds-160 and sevis number. |

Hy everyone, am a newbie here. I would like to ask if not writing the GRE exam can forfeit the chance of getting visa even with full funding? Has anyone been able to waive GRE and get it approved, kindly share what you did, thanks. |

Hi Tylerbaby, you have to transfer the payment of your old SEVIS ID to your new SEVIS ID. It takes less than 48 business working hours for it to get approved. When it is approved, go ahead to printing your new SEVIS confirmation payment slip. You can access it via this link==> https://www.fmjfee.com/i901fee/index.html Tylerbaby: 2 Likes 1 Share |

Hi guys please I need your help, two years ago(2019) I had applied for a student visa I was issued my white papers and passport collected to have my visa printed on it, and 2days later when I check my visa status I was denied. And when I had gone to the reception center to get my passport back. It came with a slip pointing to the reason why I was refused under section 212(a) (6) (c) (I)...my question could I have been banned?? And for how long? What do I do if I have been banned before re applying? Please I need answers guys |

Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 16 by bigfrancis21: 7:08am On Apr 13, 2021 |
Tylerbaby: You have three options here: 1) if the new I-20 is from the same school as the old I-20, email your ISSS office and have them reissue your I-20 with the old SEVIS ID. Most schools email I-20s now due to the pandemic and it shouldn't take more than a week to correct this. 2) the SEVIS ID on your visa account profile does not really matter, what matters is that the SEVIS ID listed on your DS160 matches the SEVIS ID on your I-20 taken to the embassy. I've seen people book visa dates in advance before their I20 was out using random SEVIS ID but used their actual SEVIS ID on their DS160 and got their visas. 3) transfer the SEVIS fee payment from the old SEVIS ID to the new SEVIS ID via www.fmjfee.com. 5 Likes 1 Share |

Tylerbaby: Hello, if I may ask the old sevis iD you used in booking the appointment is it the same school that gave you alongside with the new sevis ID? If not it kinda difficult for you to edit the sevis number again in the CGI portal after booking an appointment already. The only changes you can make is on your ds-160 and that is by filling a new ds-160 form. But the most important one now is the CGI portal, because the sevis number that you already used in booking an appointment is not what you will be using. I don’t know if it is the same school that sent you those different sevis number. Because for me when I deferred my admission, my sevis number was still the same. So I don’t know for others. But any way I would advice that you contact the embassy to explain this to them, because to me personally there is no changes you can do your self in that cgi portal regarding change of sevis number as far you have already booked an appointment. The only alternative is to cancel the appointment but I don’t even know if may be you’ve canceled your appointment before or if may be you’ve rescheduled before. If you have done that before you shouldn’t cancel your appointment again because you will end up losing the mrv fee. |

I was also wondering why her SEVIS ID would change if it is the same school. I also deferred, and had updates to my I-20, and my sevis ID was still the same. Some of these school administrators can be lousy. EmeritusR: |

Blessed365: I am sorry, but I think you may have been banned from entering the US. If I may ask, what went wrong? Did you engage in any fraudulent activity - fake visa, fake SOA etc? Or you used agents while applying? |

Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 16 by Rudy23: 10:07am On Apr 13, 2021 |
yes you can start filling your DS 160 form if you already have your I20 . Many dates were out yesterday for Abuja but nothing concrete yet for Lagos. Favournice001: |

Hello, I’m trying to apply for msc studies in the US. My mom brother is in the states and willing to be my sponsor, so I want to ask if that is possible, especially since we do not share same surname. A positive feedback would be appreciated. 1 Like |
