The man said clearly, if not for quota system put in place in federal government colleges (right or wrong, not his business), people such as Sanusi would not have had the opportunity to attend kc. He meant that prospective students from some part of the country would not have had the opportunity due to competition from other zones.
I asked what happens when they get there, his response was that they catch up over time. Simple.
He made an example and the name he used was Sanusi.
That was how I even knew the man attended KC.

Don't be silly. Read about the PRESSID scholarship. It was designed to be purely on merit. No state or regional consideration and only first class students could apply. That was of course until General Buhari's regime
