Lots of work going on at the Anambra airport including the airport road, big cultvet, airport bridge and many more

Excellent work still maintained the high quality.

One would wish they start planting trees and flowers in areas already completed. Especially the main access road and internal roads with the car park areas. Planting trees with poultry waste and other organic waste products help the trees to survive and thrive quickly.

If they also take landscaping as seriously as they took the physical structures, this airport will be the undisputed best in West Africa to say the least.

Hahahahahah....Please spare me. You people should stop this hyping like village people. Anambra Airport is too basic to be the best in Nigeria not to talk of Africa. However it is a great pleasure to have an airport no matter how small, that one day, it will be possible to fly out of Nigeria from.

I commend all those doing a wonderful job on this thread. Is there a way to move these latest developments at the Chief Willie Obiano International Airport Umueri to a new thread to grace front page?
Re: Update on developments in Anambra state-photos by AsomughaChuks05: 5:36am On Apr 14, 2021
Many seem to have forgotten that the Chief Willie Obiano International Airport Umueri will be the only airport in the region capable of handling refuelling of airplanes in transit. It will be a hub on a monumental scale. I doubt if Asaba and Enugu airports will be able to survive the competition.

As the Anambra election approaches, I believe that ANSAA the advertising authority in the state needs to clamp down on the indiscriminate erection of billboards and wall bills. A lot of aspirants who have no realistic chance of emerging as their party's flagbearer are already littering the state with wall bills. These wall bills are an environmental pollution and offenders need to be prosecuted.

Envious bitter frustrated fellow. Yes, Anambra international airport is gonna be the best international airport in West Africa. Do you have any problem with that?

Rockvibes, you have done well with the updates. Beautiful runway markings. Anambra international airport has the longest runway in Nigeria.

Orient Petroleum is shrouded in secrecy. I really don't know what is happening there. But last I heard was that the directors of the company including Chief Cletus Ibeto and other directors decided against piping the crude instead felt it was cheaper and more secure to drill the oil in Aguleri and truck them to barges in the Anambra river for onward movement to offload at the Shell export terminal in Delta state.

The longest runway in Africa.
The biggest Hangar in the world.
The 3rd busiest airport in Nigeria.
The biggest apron in West Africa.
Air Peace will have its maintenance plant here.
Boeing will build an assembling plant in Anambra.
Innoson will manufacture Aeromplane parts.
Allow us to enjoy Chief Wilberforce Obiano Intanachonal Hairport..

For an airport that has not been completed How will this be the 3rd busiest airport

Go nd ask NCAA boss Nuhu Musa and chairman nass committee Smart adeyemi, why they say it's the best and second busiest in Nigeria after Lagos airport.

and also ask those who are placing reserve in the airport for both Cargo sheds, maintenance hanger, etc and those investing in the land around the Airport neighborhood why they are doing so.

Or do you think this is Enugu, owerri or Asaba airport.

Note: Anambra airport viability is guaranteed even B4 operations.

[s]First of all , I applaud your courage to speak on this all important issue , unlike many who intentionally avoid this very topic because it exposes the incompetence of their pay masters.

Now , to the topic. Like you rightly explained in your second paragraph. With all the tumultuous investments scattered all over Anambra; the luxurious mansions, the expansive farms and the whole chains, the markets with billions pouring in from Nigeria and west Africa , the transportation sector, the industries etc. With these enormous investments that Anambra boast of there is no danm way we shouldn't generate over 7 billion in monthly allocation.

The failure of the Obiano government to account for all the monies generated from all the investments in Anambra, his inability to build a structure for proper tax collection and documentation is a proof that he has failed in one of his primary responsibilities as a governor, which is to protect lives and investments.

Everyday, on this thread , we wail and moan of poor conditions of our roads , substandard schools , ill trained and underpaid teachers yet we are sitting on a gold mine.

I can reel out to you 10 ways Anambra state can become a first world society in just about 20 years! Obiano actually failed Ndi Anambra![/s]
I step out from this thread to attend to a few issues and these rogues run amok.. Some people are so shameless. That this Peter Obi slave will be talking about IGR is really laughable..

Anambra was generating less than 500 million per month in IGR during Adaobi tenure while you were busy licking his ass as this and that and now you have the audacity to talk about IGR especially now Obiano that Obiano Increased it to over 2 billion per month? Kitikpa racha gi anya there.. Onye nzuzu.. I always ask you to leave this thread and focus on your Plateu State. I wonder while you will be so consigned about another state far away from your own state.

Hasnt your contract with peter Obi expired? Its your father than failed you not Obiano.. Face your state. We love Obiano ok?

The airport area is massive.

There is always room for future expansion. That is the most important thing. The basic things to get the airport functional and running is all that is needed.

Kudos to Anambra.

It appears more citizens are visiting the site to verify the veracity of reports on the projects going on in and around the international airport.

The main approach dual carriage way and Gate House seem to be going quite well. As well as the internal roads/ carpark inside the airport itself. Finishing touches are being done to the external glass fixtures of the terminal building and Control tower. I think runway marking has already commenced too. it looks like they truly want to deliver this project in 18 months. Which will be a record judging that this is a full fledged international airport.

Go nd ask NCAA boss Nuhu Musa and chairman nass committee on aviation Smart adeyemi why they rated it the best Airport and second busiest in Nigeria when completed.
Also ask the largest airline in West Africa airpeace boss Allen onyema why he place a reserve for his airline at the upcoming Airport, also ask those placing reserve for Cargo shed, those coming for the 36shops at the airport and others why they are doing so, despite it's not completed yet

No, let them not rush for commissioning, please I'm not from Anambra but I am an Igbo man who believes and supports any infrastructural projects in any part of our Igboland, I don't want it to be like any other Nigeria projects where they will rush and commission and six months down the line it will not put in use because work will still be going on. Let them take their time cross their t's and dot there i's whatever worth doing is worth doing well.
