No, let them not rush for commissioning, please I'm not from Anambra but I am an Igbo man who believes and supports any infrastructural projects in any part of our Igboland, I don't want it to be like any other Nigeria projects where they will rush and commission and six months down the line it will not put in use because work will still be going on. Let them take their time cross their t's and dot there i's whatever worth doing is worth doing well.

One sensible comment I've seen so far

I pray and hope it's completed and commission ending April biko..

This airport is far from ready. It is at least 9 months from full completion. The parking lot, roads, internal furnishings and fittings, ILS landing equipment testing, backup power. They should shoot for April 2022 otherwise the only flights going here are private jets.

Yep or rush it and roof ceilings and windows start falling out like Stella Oduahs shoddy rushed airport terminal renovation.
Re: Update on developments in Anambra state-photos by FOXDOSSIER: 9:30am On Apr 15, 2021
Nwanne you are correct. It is also very clear that every section of airport is being worked on simultaneously. This is truly a brand new international airport built from ground zero to completion.

ChimaAdeoye:

It appears more citizens are visiting the site to verify the veracity of reports on the projects going on in and around the international airport.

The main approach dual carriage way and Gate House seem to be going quite well. As well as the internal roads/ carpark inside the airport itself. Finishing touches are being done to the external glass fixtures of the terminal building and Control tower. I think runway marking has already commenced too. it looks like they truly want to deliver this project in 18 months. Which will be a record judging that this is a full fledged international airport.

Go nd ask NCAA boss Nuhu Musa and chairman nass committee Smart adeyemi, why they say it's the best and second busiest in Nigeria after Lagos airport.

and also ask those who are placing reserve in the airport for both Cargo sheds, maintenance hanger, etc and those investing in the land around the Airport neighborhood why they are doing so.

Or do you think this is Enugu, owerri or Asaba airport.

Note: Anambra airport viability is guaranteed even B4 operations.

Go nd ask NCAA boss Nuhu Musa and chairman nass committee on aviation Smart adeyemi why they rated it the best Airport and second busiest in Nigeria when completed.
Also ask the largest airline in West Africa airpeace boss Allen onyema why he place a reserve for his airline at the upcoming Airport, also ask those placing reserve for Cargo shed, those coming for the 36shops at the airport and others why they are doing so, despite it's not completed yet
Don't count your chicks before it hatches. I'm wondering why you're so sure that an incomplete project will definitely be the second busiest airport in Nigeria. There's not much to justify that the airport will be that busy yet.

Lagos has the busiest airport not because the airport is good but because of the economic significance of Lagos. LOS is very wack, traveling or connecting through there will show you how fuucked our primary nation's gateway is. ABV is much better, but LOS keeps generating the largest traffic because of the location.

Now will Anambra generate more traffic than even ABV? There's nothing I can see that indicates that. Third busiest might be a good foresight but LOS and ABV will still connect Nigeria nonetheless, generating far higher traffic. In fact I think it'd be financially wiser they be connecting hubs to all other airports in Nigeria, other than having "international airports" here and there.

Now If there's something I'm getting wrong about Anambra's economy you can put me through. No insults please.

Anambra is the most economic and vibrant busy state in SE and SS regions lemme not talk of other things.

If they commission the project in July, 2021 it is still a record in project delivery. If you consider that the old Port Harcourt airport terminal building renovation took Nigeria 2 years and Enugu airport runway resurfacing caused the closure of AIIA for more than 1 year.

I think the July date for commissioning will be great so that all ongoing projects (including internal roads) will be ready before press people from around the world descend on the Anambra International airport facility Umueri to take pictures that will be rapidly circulated globally. Of course, most naughty pressmen among them will like to take the pictures of any uncompleted project instead of the completed ones.

So completing most of the key projects before inviting the entire pressmen in Africa and Minister of Aviation Alhaji Hadi Sirika to commission the airport will be most desirable.

By the way, this is a great solution. I can advise you to apply for cross platform mobile application development services https://www.scnsoft.com/services/crm/custom-solutions , in particular the crm platform at ScienceSoft. You can easily calculate subscriptions, both monthly and lesson, excluding the human factor. Such a system will store the entire history of interaction with students, from tuition fees to the schedule of lessons and their homework.

Yes bro, but there schedule make them to be working amazing hard.

According to my guy who visited last two days , I think it will be ready ready by may.
They av set out every thing, landscaping of the airport including the internal roads, car park are completed remaining laying of stone base and final asphalt and interlock in some areas.
I think other equipments like ILS, escalators and lift, air control gadgets, interiors for terminal building etc have been cleared at the port and started arriving the at the airport site and awaiting installations.

Before we make further comment, Orient Refinery officials must explain to Ndi Anambra why they have not taken off all these years. They had the licence more than 15 years before Waltersmith modular refinery in Imo State got theirs yet Waltersmith have since gone into production.

You spoke my mind. We are all shouting resource control yet if FAAN asks every airport to sustain itself only Abuja and Lagos airports will survive. One of the reasons lagos airport is Wack is because revenue surplus from there is used to finance other unprofitable airports. State governments are just going all over the place building airports and asking for international flights. The minister of aviation has said he has many applications from foreign based airlines to operate into Lagos airport. When he suggests Kano or Enugu to them due to the congestion of Lagos airport they take a step back. In west Africa Lagos airport still generates the highest traffic . Yunno, earlier this year governor obiano travelled for a business trip in Brazil negotiating with a firm in Brazil concerning Anambra international Airport.

“He also travelled to Huston, Texas, which is the oil centre of the world, where he is negotiating for Anambra Refinery and Orient Petroleum and those who would want to invest in our crude oil in Aguleri.”

According to the Commissioner for information, Adinuba.

And the same aviation minister rated Anambra Airport second busiest.
On October 2020, aviation minister commended obiano for building a true standard international airport. Aviation Minister Hadi Sirika has commended the Anambra State govt. for embarking on a cargo airport project that will positively impact on the economic development of the state and the South East region.
The Minister who made the commendation when he received the Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano in his office, said the Aviation and its agencies will always give the necessary guide and cooperation to states embarking on such projects…
In order to ensure that all internationally set standards are met. According to Sirika, airports can be viable if they are built with specific objectives in mind and expressed the belief that the Anambra airport will be successful in serving the interests Of the trading population of the state and environs.
On March 2021, NCAA boss Nuhu Musa (the only bodies that gives license for international flights) and chairman nass committee on aviation Smart adeyemi rated Anambra International Airport the best and second busiest airport in Nigeria v after lagos when completed.

In governance and diplomacy you don’t expect the minister to say otherwise. 60-70% of trade in Nigeria takes place in the southwest . Most corporate organisations are based in Lagos . The seaport is in Lagos . Outside Abuja, Lagos has the highest number of government agencies with many other factors which make aviation viable in Lagos. Even as rundown as the airport/terminal buildings of the Lagos airport are , the market is there. Ibom air told there world they were building a hub out of uyo but today most of their flights depart out of Lagos .United Nigeria said same thing about building a hub out of Enugu but they have more flights out of Lagos. That’s what I mean by viability .
Building a hub out of anambra is very possible but requires some strategic investments and development. Unfortunately the Nigerian man is wired to go after quick cash thus the Allen Onyemas and co will come and say they want to build an MRO at anambra in the daytime while at night he has been lobbying the FG to allocate land to him in Lagos for a maintenance hanger. A few weeks ago he told the press his company has been allocated land at Lagos airport for maintenance. Until then the investors in aviation will continue to crowd Abuja and Lagos .
Re: Update on developments in Anambra state-photos by FOXDOSSIER: 9:10am On Apr 16, 2021
Take this to the HSBC, Anambra international airport is gonna be the busiest airport in Nigeria aside Abuja and Lagos. There's no other airport in Nigeria that can match Anambra international airport in traffic flow.

Please take your envy and frustration out of this thread.
