But none of your documents including your passport was collected from you, right? if so, i think it's because you went for your interview over 120days to your resumption date

This school sounds like a red flag one building one man school, I would not have expected a visa to this school. This shows you how you can never predict how it goes,US student visa process is very subjective and all depends on the Vo .. nice one

Congrats...may God bless your new journey
I don’t think there is any school in the US that is a red flag. The school is a private school too

But in your i20 it's your uncle's bank statement you used right?. I'm in the same situation. My sponsor is my aunt but I filled out my dad's name as the person who is paying for my trip. So on my interview day should I carry both bank statements. Or should I correct it and put my aunt's Name is the person paying for my trip.
I suggest if your dad can sponsor you, you should use his own bank statement. I think using direct family as sponsor is a way to prove home ties.

Yes, it will be updated.

adefabiyusuf:

And after doing that, Will they update the barcode too? Cos it's clearly stated that you won't be allowed into the hall with DS160/ appointment confirmation barcode irregularities.

Yes, you should.
adefabiyusuf:

You mean i should update my profile on my CGI portal with the new DS-160

I have the same issue.
Are we going to need to reschedule appointment since DS-160 number is used to schedule appointment.

No, you do not need to reschedule your appointment. All you need to do is update your CGI profile with the new DS-160 number.

how do I do that. Do I change my ds160 sponsor to my father? Or is there any other thing to do. I'm thinking of carrying both bank statements and telling the vo my main sponsor is my father but during my admission process I used my aunt's bank statement. Is that ok?

When you get to the USA and after one year come and review this comment. Experience is the best teacher

You would realise that all school like all levels are not equal .... some schools are not it at all ,especially the one building school (which are all private) and the VO knows such schools and hence those schools are more difficult to get visa with ...

Please suggestions needed.

I was awarded a tuition waiver,with deficit $10,500.
On my ds160 I filled my Aunt is my sponsor, additional shes based in the USA. Will this cause any problems for me? Are there people whose visa has been approved in the past with their sponsor residing in USA?

I would have filled my mother, but her bank statement is not up to my deficit, but can I still present it that way during interview?

Anjyy, deferment may not be an option for you. A professor or a project you are attached to got the fund for you. Most fundings come in Fall. You may lose the spot. Na God a take beg you, go for your visa for fall and move. Baby can come later if he/she doesnt make it now (but do your best). It is better you get there, let your intention be known, and your baby gets a better chance with you there to move her asap. However, look at the options you have very well. But whichever option you choose, your baby will pray for you that you move because she has a good chance to be with you while you are there. Even your husband also. But if you lose this opportunity, it may never come around again.

But if your department and the source of the fund agrees you can defer it, then, good for you. Just be extra careful the way you ask them. If they see you will be too much burden in them, they can give your spot to the next qualified candidate. Just be careful. My own advice is that you go for what you have. Move. Your baby stands a very good chance to join you very soon later even with your hubby if they do not go for it now. Please, research it very well. You may not get an accurate answer here. But the strong advice I have for you: "Na God a take beg you...do not lose this opportunity as the principal applicant". Education worth of $100,000 plus is what you have. Make you no miss am ooo. Also, a gateway to a huge opportunity in life for you and even this baby. He/she must be with a shining star.

Thank you. I have gotten some responses but deferring is not an option.

I am still very confused and I am getting overwhelmed already.

university of idaho has been stressin me ooo, da sa i need wes, did u submit your official transcript..was your admission stressful also
Firstly, have you been granted admission to university of Idaho because I can not understand the rationale behind evaluation by Wes prior to being admitted. If the answer is negative, they had sent admission offer to the newly admitted students last mid march PhD inclusive but some programme MSC programme are still welcoming new applications. And secondly, your undergraduate was at which school? I could not comprehend the reason for wes evaluation. The graduate admission office are conversant with foreign credentials and they do the assessment of each and every countries without wes and return the assessment to department for admission decision, simple

The school is the only school in the USA that is giving me what I want. I learnt how to write code because of this school. I wrote a programming test before I was accepted and they are training you on programming. I will get a good internship placement after 9months. I will acquire the necessary knowledge I need and the practical experience too. Every one has their reason for wanting to go to the USA. Trust me the school is good at what they do. The school is perfect for me.
Thanks

My fav forum, and I’m back after 4 months in Uncle Sam’s land, I bid everyone preparing for interview good luck and also Gods speed to those processing their admission, one topic we fail to discuss and I’ve barely seen on here is survival in the United States, this issue concerns those without a GA, I’d advise you get a survival skills, you’d need it I swear. You’d also need all the money you could come with, Let this thought resonant at a lower frequency in your mind as you go about processing your travels, I wish everyone the best.

I hear it’s not easy, what kind of survival skills are you referring to

Nawaooo!
That's okay.

I suspect that they might start sending out decisions in May. Aside sending email to your advisor, have you tried sending email to your department or the person in charge of assistantship to make enquiries?
