There is some truth here. Igbos have faced little threat in the North in recent years.
But the reason is because igbos in the North behave themselves and do not misbehave the way they do in non-Igbo Southern states. Let them try to claim ownership of any state in the North like they did in Lagos or try to dominate indigenes like they do in Rivers, then they will know how hospitable the North is for Igbos.

They know Northerners have zero tolerance for their funny tendencies, and they smartly behave themselves like the visitors that they are there... THAT IS THE SECRET TO THE HOST/SETTLER HARMONY FOR IGBOS IN THE NORTH!

This is the sole reason igbos aren't taken seriously in politics...

Everything is on sale even thier conscience. ( I mean the ones in politics )

Igbos are good people with horrible leadership.

Kidnapping for ransom and Banditry are one of the biggest organised or gang crime in Nigeria and are seen as a national security challenge. The kidnapping are often violent and resistance always result in the death of victims. Thousands of Nigerians have fallen victim of the crime and have had to pay millions of dollars in ransom for their freedom. Kidnapping is seen as lucrative business and the shortest means to wealth by those involved in this crime. The current wave of abductions across the country makes every person a potential target regardless of social class or economic status unlike political kidnapping which started in the Nigeria's oil rich Niger Delta region in the early 2000s and the one by terror group, Boko Haram in the Nigeria's northeast and northwest that began in 2009 when the conflict there started.
In the Niger Delta , agitators took expatriates working with multinational oil giants hostage to force oil companies operating there to carry out community development projects for the benefit of the host communities or force government into negotiations for more of economic benefits accruing to the federal treasury for the region. Abductions by Islamist terrorist Boko Haram is to further its agenda, recruit fighters, instill fear, gain more international popularity and force government to negotiate with it for ransom which is one of the means of generating funds for its terrorist operation.
Kidnapping for ransom on a commercial scale which became rampant in Nigeria in 2011 spread across all the 36 states and the Nigeria capital,
Abuja . In the northwest states of
Zamfara, Katsina and Kaduna hundreds of local community members mostly young women and children are often abducted by bandits operating from forests.
In February 2021, Nigerian journalist Adaobi Tricia Nwaubani wrote for the BBC News , "The Nigerian government seems to have suggested that it can no longer be relied on to keep citizens safe."
Kidnapping dark spots
Zamfara State
Zamfara, one of the security dark spots in Nigeria is caught between herder-farmers clashes and kidnapping and banditry. In June 2019 a household was attacked by bandits seizing the man alongside his three wives and a 13-year-old son. In August the Director of Budget for the state was kidnapped while his deputy he had been travelling with was killed in the attack.
The governor of the Zamfara State , Bello Matawalle in 2019 initiated a peace and reconciliation plan to bring the bandits who attack and kidnap villagers back home offering them jobs in place of kidnapping and banditry. In August 2019 over 300 kidnapped victims who were held captive waiting for the payment of ransom on their heads by family members were freed. Days later another batch of 40 kidnap victims were freed.

Statistically, more Igbos have died on Igbo soil than in the North this year.

Na the hard truth, but it’s complicated.

South West is the safest for all Nigerians

You can't be a SW son if you are saying this aloud in a time like this. The overpopulation we are dealing with, disadvantaging our own people, is not enough for us to discourage more migration towards the SW?

Why do you think Britain, the 5th biggest world economy, chose to Brexit?

SW is very unsafe. Nigerians thinking of relocating should head North as Ohanaeze advices.

“Our elders are saying that even if the youth are agitating and angry, we need a restructure of Nigeria and not a division of Nigeria because you can’t sell what you produce in your village to make big sales like in Alaba Market in Lagos.”

WORD!. Breaking up Nigeria will not benefit any region. We need each other to an extent. Igbos just want to be given their fair share of everything.

China population is about 1.3 billion, but them still wan collect Taiwan and Hong Kong join. It's a numbers game.

A peaceful One Nigeria is better for us all.
