Hi mommaz.... I've been offline a long while. How una dey? Hope the LOs are doing great. Last i was here, some moms complained about speech regression or delay in LO. What's the update? As for mine. Teachers say he drops words in school(Just started him in Jan) but have not seen much progress at home. Am really concerned and don't know whether they're saying these things truthfully or not. LO is now 2.6years. No frequent words like mommy or daddy, just incomprensible babbles. He says "goal" sometimes when we play ball at home, thats it. I dont have funds to spend on a therapist truthfully, so am just hoping its his own growth. However inputs from other moms will go a long way in helping decide whether to really look into a therapist or wait more. |

amSteph: Maybe you should pay the school a visit and observe your child, since the teachers are saying A and your seeing B..a different result. That will help you rule out your concern or face it. But in my opinion each child grows/develops differently and girls in my observation tend to grow faster, while boys take their time. maybe you should give him till end of this year, if nothing changes, you can consult a doctor |

amSteph: Hello mama Preschool Teacher here Your child could be having a speech delay, and the earlier you act, the better for both of you. If you cannot afford a therapist, I'd say buy bulk data and go to you-tube. These days, there's nothing you won't find on you tube. Be patient with him as you help him through this. Do you read to him? Often? Do you talk to him? Often? Not giving instructions o, but engage in conversations. Please do. It will start off as babbles but before you know it, you'll begin to decipher some words in the babbling. The more he practices, the better he gets. You can try some repetition exercises with him. For example, draw or print out objects around the house, make sure it's very similar to what you have on the house. Google how to make flash cards and then compartmentalize (objects around the house, food, people: a picture of his nuclear family) Take one word per day and gradually move to 2-3 words as he progresses. Make sure you start with monosyllabic words, progress from easy to hard. Instead of saying television, say TV. So today, show him a picture of TV and say TV in a loud and clear voice. Using complete sentences. This is a TV. TV. TV What is this?(don't expect an answer in the first few lessons, but don't stop) Then you move on to his favorite toys. People in the house. Mommy Daddy Objects like door. Whenever you treat an object, try to call his attention to the real object after the lessons and during play. Let's watch TV. Look at the TV I like the TV Even if he cannot speak, he can hear you clearly and can understand what you're saying (some kids struggle with this) Your help with him is more relevant than what any therapist will do. Make research and implement it. Warm hugs and good luck! 55 Likes 9 Shares |

After using funbact-A and skineal for a long time, it stopped working. And my face was now lighter than my neck and body I tried to stopped it. But rashes filled my face and it was itching. Finally, I have been able to stop funbact-A and skineal without having more rash and itching face. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RwkgsHAXw20 |

zaynie: Thank you mom Zaynie... what I wouldn’t give to have u work with him. The major problem in this is, he lacks the attention needed. I have done tons of research. Printed flash cards, letters, numbers, matching cards, and downloaded nursery rhymes. His only interested in the rhyme cos he love music naturally. Once I take up the alphabet or other materials, he just want to play with it and would neither sit long enough to let me tell him anything nor look at anything am showing him. It’s really frustrating. I haven’t started reading to him frequently yet, but I talk to him daily. He’ll never sit still longer enough and when I force him to sit and listen, it’s a crying feat. I haven’t tried printing objects his familiar with around the house. I’ll look into that, perhaps it will catch and keep his attention. It’s all so overwhelming for me too. He was talking clearly when he was 1year 3-4months. Repeating almost every thing clearly... Daddy, mommy, gift, sang his fav songs, etc.. then I Had his sibling when He was 1.6years and his speech literally deteriorated to babbling. I still show him love He does sometimes seem to try to say words. He could approach me, look me in the face and seriously make a babbling speech, he then looks on me expectantly, and I just respond with “wow that’s great! What else happened?”... he’d just walk away to repeat the babbling. 1 Like 1 Share |

Nyxx123: I believe his hearing fine cos he loves music and would dance and jump happily to his music. I really would consider it. Just that they say he’s not predictable. They don’t know when he’d drop the words, if not, they’d have recorded it. And he refuses to repeat especially when he knows your just trying to make him talk. |

Good morning everyone please I just want to ask a question, someone said I should be massaging my baby's neck( you know that hole between the neck and the shoulder) that its not good for it to be completely covered with flesh O. I asked why no logical explanation that ermm cold,co vulsion. That I should be pressing the hole so it will be visible she even said it will pain the baby but I shouldnt mind, a 1 year plus baby. I even said the hole can never be blocked its still there just that the fleshier the baby the less visible it might be. You know when even in adults a slim person the hole is more prominent than someone who is a bit chubby same as babies which is the norm. I just said okay because I didn't believe or agree with the person, I don't think there's any logical reason to do that and I didn't want to argue. I have heared differnet things but this seems to be the strangest and I am not even a first time mum. Later on pressed mine and hubbys own the muscles there pained for a long while, my husband now said shey you see how painful it is so someone wants you to do that to a baby for no logical reason. Just curious has anybody heard of this before. Picture attached for illustration ( Google image) sugah Zaynie LadySarah All mamas

Some people and oversabi are 5 and 6. Neck massage kor. Cold and convulsions are caused by different things. Yes, you can massage your baby gently but only to pamper her in a chop life manner Droyal 4 Likes |

Droyal: I haven’t heard that before. But I totally agree with u. The chubbier, the less obvious. It doesn’t go away. I wouldn’t press my baby to make it visible or whatever. |
