Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by Oluwayemisi0507: 5:02pm On Apr 18, 2021
Yeah. You can. But you might have to start answering a lot of questions at the point of entry. They want to be sure that you don't have contact with older people or even anyone.

Hello house, if you are planning on using form A to pay your fees and you have an account with Stanbic bank or know someone who does pls use them. My form A was processed in 4 days and my friend got PTA up to 4K dollars from them as well. Avoid First Bank, I repeat avoid First Bank!

Hello beautiful people.

So, it is already a week that I got into Canada (University of Saskatchewan) and a lot has been happening. I'll be back with my landing gist ( almost 24 hours on airshocked shocked)

I want to thank Frankrobbin, Silvamania, Awys, Olasubomy and all the amazing people that I didn't mention for all the advice. (Although I had applied before joining nairaland)

However, while I try to fully settle into Saskatoon, you can catch up on all my moving to Canada from Nigeria series where I drop some nuggets as to what to take along, how j booked my flight and covid appointment and I'll be posting more about my mandatory quarantine at the hotel, study visa processing, how I got refused the first time, what i did differently in the second application, how I changed my course and still got approved.

If this interests you in any way, check the link below and subscribe..

Love you all.
God bless you abundantly!!!!!

Are u referring to the form A or PTA? For PTA of course you need a valid visa and also a return ticket. The requirement is the same across all banks

August is quite late for fall; September admission unless she is thinking of deferring the admission.

Now she could actually get lucky and her study permit is approved within 4 weeks but what if it is not approved on time?

I will not advise you to take this risk at all. Processing time for study permit has now been stretched to 20 weeks and that is 5 months. People with fall admission are already submitting their application.

Think about your decision very well and make a good choice okay.

May I please ask what course she got accepted for?
University of Saskatchewan is a bit late on their decisions for fall admission this year.

Cooladex:
Pls I need the advice of gurus in the house.

My wife got an admission to Univ of Saskatchewan this month for fall 2021.

Presently we don't even have a 4months statement. POF, because the funds are scattered (our fault) We intend to start growing the account from May till August, and submit her application by early Aug.

Pls is this a good idea and I hope the school won't raise any issue as to why we started study permit application so late?

Hi everyone,
Can I do my Medicals before they request for it? So that if they do I will just submit it at once. Is that allowed?
And how long does it normally take for the medical results to be released.

It’s allowed

Yes, you can. You do not even have to wait till they request for it. The medical organisation is expected to upload your result a few days after your test. You are expected to also upload the sheet they give you.

Your medical test should read passed in a week's time or even less on your profile.

If session is for September u have to consider applying as soon as possible cause processing time are really slow these days. Some people applied in Oct 2020 and still waiting. You don't want to put urself under pressure. Put your funds in one account and provide detailed explanation In your SOP
