There should be a compromise between these guys , though Perez is one greedy capitalist who only cares about what my money brings to the game of football and not football itself .
Shut up before you insult Perez for something you have no idea about.

Looking at you suggesting pay cut as if you woke up today. This is 21st century, football is money and money is football.

Yes, but I'm not sure the Super League can hold if they still have to participate in the UCL.

They need their strength to compete for top level matches.

It will be dire to watch if there is match congestion and their performance will drop in those matches.

Will be a terrible sight without tenacity.

Lol They will use team b to play UCL. They are not stupid.

They are making tons of cash through TV rights. Fans don't come to the stadium but they watch at home.. They make money, they just want to make even more

They already mentioned their loss but you're here saying what you feel. You think that they are talking about hidden financial records or something like that?
How are they making that money if there were no tickets sales and a significant amount of drop in jerseys sales?

It’s all about money to these scavengers. Total disregard for the fans and clubs traditions. Most fans are not interested in a closed competition of 12 megalomaniac clubs.

UEFA and FIFA must hit these bastards hard.

Ignorance at its peak. Those teams are not Nigeria clubs that are owned and being sponsored by the governments. In Nigeria, teams don't need to make money or profit to stay alive but those big clubs need to keep thinking of ways to stay afloat in the face of covid-19 pandemic.

The reasons are germane, no money no football.
We don't want situations where club owners will be owing footballers and coaches.

You are only thinking about this in terms of the bug clubs, you don't see (have chosen to ignore) how this will further starve the smaller clubs and increase the already wide gulf between the few "super rich" clubs and the "Osasunas" or "Burnleys" (no insult intended) in various leagues. No true football fan will say he or she does not get thrilled by the prospect of an Ajax defeating a Real Madrid or Shaktarr Donetsk eliminating Chelsea from the Champion's lleague. As much as the 12 "big" clubs may have "reasonable" arguments to support their not so subtle "rebellion" the fact is that it all boils down to money. Las las, na everybody this Coro affect, no be only Barca, Madrid et al.

Many people don't understand what these big clubs are going through. Their business has been affected by Covid, players refused pay cut, no fans on stadium plus UEFA greediness.

UEFA and clubs involved should sit on round table.
they should cut down bogus wages

Change is inevitable.

Empty stadiums etc have forced these clubs into a lot of debts.
Don't forget they have players they pay large sum of money, if there are no fans to generate money from, where will they get funds to pay the players from? Owners personal money?

They complained that UEFA is paying them little amount compared to what they generate from the competition.

Reason it this way.

A club signs a big name player with many fans, the player follows the club to play in a competition which his fans will probably watch because their fave is playing in the competition.
UEFA generate money through views, TV rights etc, while the club don't because the stadium is empty, the club will be the one to pay the player, foot the transportation, lodging and other bills, pay the domestic staffs, etc

At the end UEFA pays they little amount that can't even pay off the players 1 month or 2 months salary.

UEFA is catching out where they didn't work.

UEFA should either share do one of these...
1. After removing 10 to 20 percent of the total money generated from the competition and also removing the prized money for each stage.
They should share the remaining money among all the participating clubs to help them fight their growing expenses.

2. Allow them have their own way(ESL).

You can't be catching out at the expense of these clubs and their stadiums are empty, thereby making it difficult for them to run the clubs.
they should cut down on wages...football no be to make money alone, but to love of fans watching their team playing against big/small teams.

The smaller teams don't have the kind of financial obligations of those super teams, one player's wage from R Madrid, Barca or Man City could pay ten players from those modest teams.

I thought financial fair play was introduced to manage these excessive spending. The kind of money paid to some of these players is well too much and beyond understanding. They should tone down the extreme capitalism practised in football.

But the truth is, who's asking or making these clubs to sign players beyond their financial limits...u sign 5 players at total of 900m pounds and u want to survive...how come?that's y i love arsene wenger, Ferguson financial dexterity...this two manager will not allow their clubs to sign players not worth the money...super league die abeg...

Seriously as much I hate the idea of the super League, I still feel for the owners of this big clubs as the revenue they generated over a year now has been below par. They pay huge sums of money to players, bonuses etc but they are not breaking even. I believe Uefa should sit with the club owners and find a way to agree on a compensation for losses due to the pandemic as they are not 100% affected.

Na that one dey vex me pass ... players no gree accept pay cut but some of em Dey criticize these brave 12?

Oya let everybody take 50% pay-cut on a cadre based ration basis .

Let’s also not forget many of these clubs are servicing loans o

Realmadrid are currently renovating bernebeau

Barcelona can’t even afford to renovate nou camp

I’ve been really shocked by what I’ve seen and heard especially from UEFA they should like cartel lords talking tough ... their hypocrisy stinks.

1. On what basis can you Ban a player from the World Cup? When even an amateur player can play in the World Cup.

2. The same way UCL can oust a club (who have qualified via their league championship) for failing to meet I.e FFP rules is same way a club who have qualified via their league can state their desire to not participate in the UCL or choose to field a B team in UCL tournaments... it’s a free world #Simple

3. UEFA doesn’t own football ... nobody owns football

The man is saying nonsense. You're creating a super league to save football yet you restricted it to only 15 clubs. 15 clubs are to share over 3b euros. Save football my foot. Oga you want more money stop saying rubbish. What about the other over 200 European clubs that are not signing up to the super league, are they going to die as well? These greedy so called big clubs simply incur unimaginable debts through more greed and now that there are no fans to offset the debt they're now using any desperate means to survive or risk bankruptcy. Yet clubs like Bayern, Dortmund, Leicester etc have managed their lean resources and have provided fantastic entertainment to their fans and he's here exposing his failed business model

These are people who thinks.
Currently big clubs re dying because of the pandemic, and therefore no gate takings...
Small clubs can cope because they re on low budget, their tv allowances is even higher than their expenditure,
so big clubs feel the heat, currently as they pay big player huge amount and dont make up to what is spent...
The super league will bring back the loss and make more for them also, and we the fans will have more fun too...
