Government Special Announcement

Our attention has been drawn to the disruption of ongoing reconstruction of Ngwa Road, Aba, by sundry persons suspected to be traders and other community actors who attacked the contractors.

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has directed the leadership of Ngwa Road Market Traders Association (NGWAMATA) and the Traditional Ruler of the area to ensure that the attacks and harassment of the contractors cease forthwith or risk sanctions including closure of the market till the work is completed and suspension of any traditional ruler found complicit in the attacks.

We urge the contractor to fully deploy to the site in order to ensure that the timeline agreed with the government is met before the full onset of rains as steps have been taken to ensure their safety.

Thank you.

Chief John Okiyi Kalu
Honorable Commissioner for Information, Abia State.

While Anambra, Imo, Enugu and Ebonyi youths are building, developing and protecting their properties, the average Aba boys are destroying their own house.

During my short stay at Aba, I noticed that an average Aba boy get easily provoked over little things and they will go as far as unleashing their anger on innocent dwellers in the state.

No wonder the state is still under developed while neighbouring States flourish.

ngwababe, come and talk to your people.

aba people too dey claim wise.

It is over supply of sharp guys in Abia that destroyed Aba.

When Aba was Aba, Lagos was a slum.

It was Aba that thought Lagos how to burn criminals.

Aba is a typical example of a city of Con men

Anambra is like that too

They should actually stop.

Lawlessness is increasing in SE. Why beat someone for simply doing their job? Like say the roads will not benefit them when completed.

Valid. Their blood dey hot for Aba.

I have stayed in Owerri too. Owerri over Aba any day. Don't know what they did to me during my stay in Owerri, I still dream about living in Owerri even after many years I left there.

These people hate development.

It seems the people living in south east do more crimes than people living in other parts of Nigeria.

Hmmm

Even for the fact that there are few motorable roads in Abia state as most are in dilapidated state yet some miscreants are still frustrating government effort to change the story

Has it come to this
Unscrupulous elements everywhere.

Just look at the people they are trying to better their lives, being brainwashed by a run away animal that says Nigeria is a zoo.

God punish Cownu wherever he is hiding.

Its like these people dont want anything good. They encourage destruction of law enforcement and now they are frustrating road contract projects in their state for their own good. I am glad not to be from that part on the other side of the Niger.
