Post covid many jobs have disappeared...... so even the ones with legal papers are struggling to find job quickly when they arrive how much more someone without papers..... that 6 months might go so quickly without seeing any forex income coming it..

Now the problem is that I was issued by university of derby that I have gotten admission that I would be given admission letter yesterday. I have waited and waited no letter. Admission is a two way beneficial relationship. You need it but look at it as well they desperately need your money too. .... so if it that then let us be desperate together

It important that you take their advice and do those lessons well so that you don't repeat the 3rd class grade again so ensure that happens

I would say both would work. If you want to follow up then do that nicely and politely. If you want to wait for some days then thats fine as well

Thanks for your response, I would want to move it into my own account, will have to open an account once I get over there in few weeks, am not familiar with the UK banking system yet.. Also large amount of funds that might translate into at least £10,000

It has been discussed gazillion times on this thread...get a sim only contract phone (usually less than £10/pm), get a credit builder credit card for like £150 credit limit to use and pay back in full, get on the electoral roll, sign up to credit reference agencies - free ones are credit karma, clearscore and MSE credit club. They all pull info using the original agencies APIs. Good luck!

The success of the application is hinged on this and that's why many people shy away from making this kind of application.

You need to prove that all of the above situations exist in addition to the settled status and finance of the child.

i.e. In a situation where you've got your siblings (your parents' children) /family (your parents' spouse) in Nigeria with your parents, you'd need to prove that they can't provide care or help with your parents' daily living.

Speaking from experience, when the parent is aged with no immediate family in Nigeria, it's easier.

Hello all.

Trust the day is going well for everyone.

Just wanted to share my experience with the UKVCAS.

So I applied for Tier2/Skilled worker extension on 20th March using the priority service and following the application, I scheduled a UKVCAS appointment for 16th April in Cardiff for the submission of my supporting documents. I also made an additional payment for document scanning. On the day of my appointment, the caucasian man that attended to me was extremely rude. He did not have knowledge of the current UKVI rules as he told me my application would be refused due to my expired passport. I explained the situation of the Nigerian high commission due to the covid restrictions as well as a cover letter and the fact that the UKVI would not penalize me or anyone especially due to the government-imposed restrictions. He also refused to scan my consent form page saying that it was not part of the document checklist. My pleading fell on deaf ears.

Anyways, I received an email yesterday from the UKVI communicating that my application was successful although I started doubting whether it would be considered.

So, before going to the UKVCAS appointment, scan all the documents that are not on the document checklist yourself and if you are applying for Tier2/skilled worker visa extension with an expired passport, just include proof of payment of passport renewal fees, a letter from the Nigerian High Commission and a personal cover letter (if you did not put the actual expiry date in the application).

My Visa experience was quite tough because I found out the whole application to be rigorous with repetition of information.

I applied for Tier 2 Main applicant, General partner and General child

Having to fill the form for a family of 3 no be small task, with the repetition of answers and all. Then now came paying for IHS surcharge, what was supposed to be for a yr payment turned to 3yrs for dependant £600 as against £200 for the main applicant.

Hurdle 2 booking appointment for 3 diff individual was tough for the same day ooo. To say I was frustrated was the least.

Then came the payment wahala. My access dorm card (visa) was not accepted I had to call UKVI and trust them to charge money for every call or mail for complaints and enquiries (UK makes too much from us immigrants oo)

Thanks to all that answered my question in d Visa thread.

Lesson learnt:
1. For families fill individual application with the same portal i.e apply for someone else tab
2. Use Gtbank Mastercard attached to your dorm acct
3. Book appt for same day from UK website but register as a group with TLS dt way you are being processed together
4. Fill all information as truthfully as you can and you won't have any problem
5. Pray and make sure there are no mistakes with your documents

The application is really easy once you follow the rules to the letter.


P.S :- NARIC services is good and I did not have to write ilets for UKVI

Driving in Nigeria especially Lagos is so drastically different to driving in the UK, that I really don't think it counts as driving experience.

I think you'll find that you need more lessons than you initially thought

No joke bro..I am a living witness.

I used to drive with one hand on gear stick and the other holding the steering. About 40 lessons and 4 good attempts later, I passed the driving test.
