In a 7 game tournament, Sneidjer won MOTM 4 times.... Pray tell, how can you argue that he didn't carry Holland on his shoulder to the final?

OK let's put stats one side because I believe stats don't tell the full story. Did you really watch Sneidjer in 2010? Did you? If you do, you will notice how he dictates the tempo of matches. His passing ability. His shooting technique etc....

Well, I beg to differ. Attackers give teams goals, gives team confidence, and goals win matches. So it must be really skewed in favor of the attackers. No matter how a team defends or control the midfield, if attack doesn't score, it'll amount to nothing. So I think I agree with the reason why attackers are favoured more.

And in any competition or institution, there normally have the overall best. Yes, there might be best midfielder, best defender and all, but there must really be that overall best. And for the best position, I think that's given with the FIFA best 11, where each acclaimed best in each position is guaranteed a spot(even tho I agree with you that it doesn't covers the " overall best midfielder or defender as you opined).

So that's my point sha

I was a fan of Varane for a while but I think his for has dipped in the last couple of seasons. Still a big name anyways, but perhaps not the best choice.
