My school gave me admission but haven't taken decision for funding yet. They have asked me to submit bank statement and other things to process i-20, and the deadline is by then coming week. My questions:

1. What is the implication of not meeting the deadline?

2. Concerning who to use as sponsor, I am married and blessed with kids, who is best to use as my sponsor, my dad, uncle or wife, in order scale through at the embassy?

3. Pls any ways to go about SOA?

I would suggest you stay in Abuja Center. Getting date in Lagos is like wanting $1 at the rate of N400.
From what I know about you missing the available date reserved for you, I think it took you a while before logging in to pick the date that was open for you. The dates are not only visible to you, it’s visible to other people who had not requested for expedited date.

You need information on your Form I-20 to fill your visa (DS-160) form. I think getting your I-20 is your first step to travel plans. While your SEVIS fee is not immediately required, it must be present with you during the interview. It is usually advised to have paid for it at least 3 days before your interview. You may also have delay in the payment because credit cards are not accepted for Nigerians, so I advice you figure that out early enough.

Some don't consider GRE scores. They prefer you're grounded in basic statistical softwares (SAS, R), you may need to repackage your SOP too.

Mail your department and tell them to send you a scanned copy of your I-20 as you need some information in it to fill your visa application, just insure that the hard copy arrives before your interview day, you can pay the Sevis on or before 3days to the interview

Did you do this as part of a security apparatus (e.g. police, military)? If yes, state so on your form and bring proof to your interview. If no, please explain here so someone can help you.
