The only people that can save this country is her youths, but unfortunately, 70% of those worthy youths are in Prison. And the prison is Nigerian Universities.
Our Universities only breed cowards, our university lecturers only instill fears in students. Even the course they teach has no benefit for the students, most of them will still learn handskills before they feed

I'm so angry about slashing the House officers salary, I'm thinking about how the poor people in public hospitals would fare now, because they are the ones that would suffer all these. What about the pregnant one's, those about to give birth.
The house officers/residents does the bulk of jobs in hospitals.
How about kidnapping here and there? So many problems already but the government is happy creating more traumas

The only people that can help are the Youths, meanwhile, they are in Nigerian Universities enslaved, they are so suppressed that they can't even voice out.
What lecturers do to students is to kill their confidence, subdue them to traumatic experiences and make them loose their identities. If you choose not to, then you face consequences of being rusticated, or punished by the school system. All these training, makes them become WEAK naturally and they loose the power to fight for their rights.
And the most painful part is that, after everything, this same Youths would still need to learn 6months skills before they can feed, most of them will eventually feed in an area that has nothing to do with what they studied in universities. What is now the essence of the traumas they experience while in universities? The stress? The subjugation? The threats? The unending assignments? etc
The only education left in these many youths after graduation is FEAR and cowardice

Am I saying Education is bad? Nah, I'm only saying our higher education is doing more waste to people's time than good.

This is awesome OP.
Lecturers who encourage mediocrity, lack of funds, no research. The government killed the confidence of the lecturers and they're just doing same to the students; It's garbage in garbage out..

We have been made to believe that getting a certificate from a tertiary institution is what will help us in the long run by our parents and guardians. And our fear oftentimes comes from not wanting to disappoint them. That's why we accept the rubbish from lecturers.

On another note, the fear of going against the norms and being considered a misfit is why we tolerate such bullsh!t and also remember that when you speak up, you will be left alone to bear the cross. #ENDSARS protest as an instance when certain persons had their bank accounts frozen(I can't say if it was frozen because of their roles in the protest).
And I believe you know that if you fight against the system, the system (those in charge of it now) will fight back and not so many persons are ready to fight this system.

If majority of the youths can agree to stand as one we can turn things around.

I agree. The reason why students don't voice against what is wrong is because they fear punishment, what if we create a system where universities is more of passion and not necessarily about the certificate. When students have nothing to loose, I believe they will have more courage to speak against bad acts. They can even help the lecturers as well to fight for their rights
