Hi everyone. My passport will expire in less than two years. I decided to apply for passport migration since the duration of my course is 2 years. My new passport is not ready yet and I still have my current one. My question is: Can I use the current one to apply for my study permit and then submit the new one for visa stamping? I believe that my new one would be ready by then. |

Emmyzdon: Hello, You recently just submitted your application. In my opinion, you should allow things flow for a while before going for medicals. Your Portal is most likely going to be updated very soon. Please do not worry yourself. IT WILL END IN PRAISES |

Lamideyy: Hello Lamideyy, Yes, you are right. As a 17 y/o (clocking eighteen), the IMM 5646e Form is OPTIONAL, but sometimes based on discretion, the officer may request for one and this may cause some delays. Hence my advise. Cheers! |

Olamiikunle: Hello Olamiikunle, When it comes to immigration in general through the study route, it is always best to avoid unnecessary academic switch even if it is a genuine intent. It is better to maintain a background related to either one's previous study and/or experience when applying for the permit. Thereafter, from within Canada, a switch can easily be effected. This makes your intent, reason, and explanation very clear. Don't get it wrong, this doesn't mean that people are not been approved if a switch is effected at the time of the application processing, but not entirely encouraged. If you are going for a Computer Technology program, go for a subfield that relates to architectural design in PGD. This helps you easily merge your study intent to the benefit of the study in a lineal progressional path. Best of Luck |

Teeprecious: Hello Teeprecious, Getting the enrollment letter varies from each DLI. You can drop the name of your DLI and maybe someone here who happens to attend the same DLI with you can point you in the right direction. Don't communicate any intent to switch program yet. Get approved and land first. Best of Luck |

Teeeee89: Hello Teeeee89, After the 3-night hotel quarantine stay, you are allowed to complete the remainder of the quarantine days in your chosen destination, and if none is available to you, it can be completed in a government-provided facility. Best of Luck 1 Like |

chrome1: Hello Chrome1, If this was my situation, I will leave the cash be for as long as it is verifiable. If the VO should request for MBS, reprint the regular BS or the previously used (if it is an NSE request) coupled with a concise LOE. However, if you so desire to go through the NSE stream, you can make the transfer and support it with an LOE then include the cover page and the transactional page that reflects the funds movement. Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by JustMellow: 5:04pm On Apr 26, 2021 |
Daud12345: Hello Daud12345, Paste a screenshot of your notes if you have it so members here don't shoot blank when giving their honest opinions. The purpose of visit refusal reasons is broad and can be traceable to your program level or study correlation, letter of study intent, future goals and study benefits, financial availability or sufficiency, etc. The notes help give a clear understanding and traceable solution. If you wish, you may also drop your timeline so members who have answers can also give their opinions and suggestions accordingly pending the arrival of the notes, if you will be requesting it. Best of Luck |

Cflow10: Hello Cflow10, The voters card is a government issued document or record that contains sensitive information that IRCC is interested in, so you can use it. Best of Luck |

prada1: Hello Prada1, Approach it from a perspective that best relates to your future benefits as a trajectory to your career advancement. Focus on connecting your background in Accounting and Finance to Economics with a clear projection of what you intend to accomplish as an economist. Outline your plans and ways you intend to achieve the plans through the study and demonstrate how the prospect employment is in demand in your country or your steps you can take to set up yourself upon the program completion. Best of Luck |
