Hi again everyone.
How do I change my application to include my dad? I haven’t submitted yet, but when I was applying I indicated that I would need a visitor visa for my mum who would be accompanying me. How do I add one for my dad too? Or will I need to start again
you clearly have no idea how brutal application officers can be. That's probably why the thought of including your mum and dad in your application is crossing your mind. You'll soon know who you're dealing with.

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by Phiyin: 7:51am On Apr 27, 2021
Good morning. Please how did you do this? My validity is also less than two years and my course is 2years but i was told i have to use it like that because its only until after 6months i can renew
AdoChel:
Hi everyone.

My passport will expire in less than two years. I decided to apply for passport migration since the duration of my course is 2 years. My new passport is not ready yet and I still have my current one.

My question is:

Can I use the current one to apply for my study permit and then submit the new one for visa stamping? I believe that my new one would be ready by then.

Morning to y’all. Please is it possible to change the name on a Qlife appointment? I have an appointment for May 18, which I wouldn’t be using anymore, and I need to know if I should be in search for someone who can buy the slot from me.
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by Bobinho10: 8:15am On Apr 27, 2021
Message them about your eligibility, it should have started but they didn't update it.. That's what I did, and within few hours, my eligibility started.. it will end in praise

Please house, do one get a mail or an update when eligibility start? I applied since February i have not gotten any mesage from them or even an update on my status.

Bro. Please kindly request any university in Canada that would be easy to get into

Thank you for all that you do here,God bless you all and it will end in praise.

I have a bit of an issue and I will like to clear my doubts

1. My school withdraw me from my program because I wasn’t physically available on campus on the first day ( although I was aware Of their policy and conditions for the course) I was waiting for RICC till the last minute.

Will this withdrawal have any negative consequences on my visa/ study permit?

2. I have also secured 2 other admissions because I don’t want to be disappointed.

Do I need to inform RICC about this new admission? Or just wait till visa is out before doing anything

Thank you for swift responses[/quote]

I think you should use only one of them because adding the two might lose a problem of funds availability, ties and stuffs. my opinion though, let other gurus in the house drop their ideas also... It will end in praise!

Pls what background checks do they really carry out? Credit bureau and co?

More like your background with regards to the information and documents you provided, such as your criminal background ie if you’ve ever committed any crime in the past etc, your travel history and if you’ve ever overstayed in any of the countries you’ve visited, education background as it relates to the genuineness of the supporting documents you submitted : Waec, degree certificates etc.

I believe along these lines.

As we don’t practice Credit system in Nigeria, I doubt there’s any check like that done.

Alright maybe the tone might have been harsh. But you do get the point I was making. I didn't know you were a minor. In no circumstance should you include both parent. Bitter truth is odds are already against an applicant with the inclusion anyone else in their application. They look for the slightest reason to reject an applicant.

I'm currently drafting my LOE. However for the school I'm attending, they require me to complete prerequisite courses before I apply to the nursing school so my first year will be spent completing those courses. They gave me general admission so that I would have the freedom to do the required courses without declaring a major. On the letter of admission it states that the course of study is not specified. Do I explain it like this in my LOE? Also, the length of the program is 4 years but I will need a visa for 5 years because of my first year for prerequisite courses and then the 4 years of nursing school. How should I frame this? I don't want to draw any red flags to my application. Thank you all for all the advice so far!

Hello everyone, I give God the glory as i just received my stamped passport today.
I want to specially appreciate this wonderful community of brothers, one of the best communities ever.
my timeline is as follows
Nov 16 2020 submitted my application
Nov 25 2020 biometrics enrollment
Jan 25 2021 Upfront medicals (passed in Feb 3rd)
PPR and BVL came in on the 29th of march 2021.

Like they say no two applications are the same, in my case I only had to show a letter of introduction from my employer as my funding document. my employer (government institution) had explicitly stated in the introduction letter that they will take care of my finances related to my study. i did not show my account or payslip anywhere as i no geti monie grin that time. the point here is that study dreamers should do the best they can and pray for favour, God will surely bring it to pass.

Also, is it the best time to apply for my Spouse and 5 month old baby? should i wait until i resume school in canada ? Please guys what do you think?

IT WILL END IN PRAISE.

Congratulations once again.

Pls I will like to know what other documents you submitted alongside the letter of introduction from your employer as your funding document?
Employer is also a government institution.

Sure, it's fine. I opened mine via internet banking. I believe you would need a current account first though, as the dom account would be linked to it. It's a hassle visiting the bank to do this so try online - it's super easy; barely an inconvenience smiley

I think you should request for a remark if you're sure of how well you performed. There's no harm in trying.

I will advise you to retake the exam if you have the means. Remark will likely not give you the desired score from what I'm seeing.

Best of luck.

Were you previously rejected ?
If not you should be writing a statement of purpose(SOP) and not a LOE
Moreover, LOE is not to explain your career goals if at all you need to write one( I mean if you have been previously rejected)
