Good morning house

Please is it okay if I use Google map to navigate my way around Lagos while driving on uber? Because I don't know my way around Lagos yet and that's why I gave my car out on rentals. Buy the driver has been full of complains. A car that's almost one year now. I was personally driving that car from Lagos to move then lagos to sagamu (to the office) daily for months and I only visited mechanic twice (other than the times I carried out servicing). I just want to know if using Google map would be an issue before I collect the car or should I just try another driver

advice please

Google map is the best road navigator. Okada and passerby can mislead u but google map will not except u don't know the name of the street u r going to or u spell it wrongly. On a scale of 10, gmap is 8. Barring some one-way roads and gated streets, google map will take u anywhere and bring u back. U will even avoid serious holdups and use fastest routes as u get used to it. But don't depend on it in remote places, and outskirts of town cos it might lead u to unmotorable roads.

Also, don't be shy to tell ur rider u r not familiar with the road, they will guide u if they know the way.

If u aren't satisfied with ur weekly delivery and state of ur car, cut that relationship now before it is too late.

Can Someone help and explain what's really wrong with this bolt app.
I was on a positive balance of around +4000, during the strike and weekend I was able to gather both commission and my positive balance increased to around +19,000 as of Sunday. I waited For bolt alert on Monday and it was invain, I didn't work on Monday cos i needed to go get my permanent license in mainland, only for bolt to removed their commission yesterday and upon my first trip today my cash trip was blocked and was told to pay up a negative balance of about 10k.
I'm trying to wrap ny Head on how this was possible. I've written them via support and email. I feel confused honestly, what else can i do and is there a way i can contact them via phone

Share ur revenue, and balance screens for last week. I know Bolt/Uber can never be wrong on those calculations... Its automated

Thanks for this boss.

Weekly delivery comes in. It also comes with different weekly complains. Meanwhile the only issue I had with the car before I gave the driver, I told him about it, allowed him drive so he can point out any other thing and I took the car to his recommended mechanic. I'm just concerned about the regular complains because in the over 8 months that I drove the car myself I've not had as much complain that he has given in less than 2 months

What kind of complains? Normally a car that's subjected to stress and work demands of ehailing will definitely confess grin but I hope he isn't taking advantage of ur naivety. Ur mechanic should be the one fixing ur car, not another stranger mechanic recommended by d driver. Except you have converted to his mechanic cos If d driver leaves tomorrow, the repair history of the vehicle will go with him.

@pearl1910 since you really trust this bolt system, oya see my dashboard and explain to me Better since I have been resting in mainland since 2days with Just 1-2 trips per day, so how come am owning bolt around 15k with a positive starting balance of about 3.5k

I didnt see ur revenue so I dont know if the commission calculation is correct.

From ur screen, N3,740 is ur real balance. For last week. If u have been sent N18k plus then u owe Bolt N14k plus and that's why u r seeing that now. So ignore it, it will come back to normal if u haven't got any 18k from them.
Now, why are u expecting 18k from bolt when u know they don't owe u that much?

My previous 55 trips yielded 12k, my Saturday bonus was 3k and I should not expect 18k From Bolt, only for bolt to block my cash trip saying i owe them 15k. You really trust this system, but it's really not perfect, I have 2 other bolt driver having same complain as well.

Is it only complain with mouth but he doesn’t default ? If he remits regularly you better keep managing him, while you do something else.
However it’s better for you and your car if your drive and use google map.

But dis hustle no be easy one at all , you need to be sure you can do it.
Google map and navigation na one part of the hustle.
Can you control your emotions
Are you physically and mentally fit for the job ?

I get it now. I think my fear is him not using that as an excuse not to pay up.

Thanks for the enlightenment boss. For the Gmap, I'll hit the road with a friend's car to understand how it works

This doesn't explain anything. Are u aware 20% of all ur earnings goes to Bolt? And d number of trips doesn't matter but the revenue from them.
I know something is wrong somewhere cos nawadays before u reach -15k they would have blocked ur cash trips since. I think the threshold is -7k now. Maybe they revoked the bonus to a campaign that u won before. Its not magic, there is an explanation and it lies in the revenue screen of last week. Show that and let's see.

I heard of a driver that will be manufacturing problems and informing the owner of the car, cos he knows d owner will tell him fix it and minus from rental...meanwhile nothing was wrong with the car. Driver was just cashing out from part of rentals on fake fixes. So u can't rule that out too. He may be consistent in delivering half of the money because he has used the other half to do imaginary one or two repairs.

I understand you perfectly. I might keep him since no default yet.

I'm fully prepared for the hustle my major concern was using Gmap. Since it's cool to use it, I'm good. But I'll leave him with the car while I work on other things.

The balancing show reflect from the two 2 weeks.
That is 4 screenshots in total.

We can actually calculate everything from the Revenue screen, and the balance screen for this week and last week. Then compare. From what he has shared there is a 15k that is disputed, seems like it fell from the sky or bolt revoked a bonus ones given to him. The answer lies in the revenue screen.
