harley4:A PHD in Food Science should be your focus cos it aligns more with your CHEMISTRY & BIOCHEMISTRY degrees It is not stated anywhere that it's a Particular Set of Research Interests that are fully-funded. There are funding opportunities for loads of RESEARCH INTERESTS most esp. in STEM Based on your B.SC & MSC Thesis work am sure you are going to have RESEARCH INTERESTS of your choice, but you stand more Chances to get a FULLY-FUNDED PHD PROGRAM in a RESEARCH AREA OR AREAS you have PRIOR RESEARCH EXPERIENCE IN, cos most of this PROFESSORS want Candidates who has prior/relevant research experience in what he does in his lab. You need to reach out to PROFS via the cold mail approach. Find attached a Word Document having links to 7-Canadian universities offering Food Science and their Professors, download it, open it, copy the links one after the other to your WEB BROWSER, check out the RESEARCH AREAS of the PROFS., read their Publications, if you discover you have something in common with a Prof, draft your cold mail and shoot it to him/her. Visit the link below to know how to draft a Cold Mail, how to draft your ACADEMIC CV (Canadian Standard) with Templates, and other information you can use to package yourself for a Fully-funded PHD program in Canada https://www.nairaland.com/6321900/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/561#101054570 You can await more inputs from the gurus & other members on this platform

JDforeal:I'm no expert. However, It's important your sponsor(brother) show sufficient amount in his account, you on the other hand don't necessarily have to submit your statement of account. How old are you? |

The only place you can make possible changes in a remark is speaking and writing, every other section has definite answers so you can’t possibly get any change by remarking. S&W are your best scores, shows you are good enough because those are the most difficult areas, you only need to understand how to answer the L&R parts as those are the easier parts Officialksolo: |

Good people of Nairaland, thanks for the quality information sharing ! A quick one please: I'm working towards STUDY PATH to immigration: I had previous education in Chemical Engineering, BUT all my work experience 5+yrs has been in Electrical Engineering (Automation and Control), In your opinion which of the following options will have a higher chance of Study Permit: 1. Masters in Chemical Engineering (which match my academic background only but not match with my work experience)? 2. Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology 2yr Program (which matches with my work experience but is low level certificate)? Your inputs will be highly appreciated Thanks in advance ! |

JDforeal: To digress abit from your question, does your brother have dependents (wife and kids)? If yes, how does he plan to provide for them if only you is taking 8 million from him. I think you should mention if his wife is working to show that she supports the house with her income. 1 Like |
