Thank you, I couldn't have put it better myself! Nigerians are far too easily impressed by big and shiny structures, at the cost of less flashy things that would make a much bigger difference for the better, so the politicians oblige by aiming for size at the expense of utility. Nobody would be clapping for Sanwo-Olu if he quietly opened a dozen smaller primary-care clinics and set up water-filtration facilities across the LGAs, so he simply won't bother.

This is not a logical argument.
Lagos state health workers are almost on the same salary scale with FG workers.
Also, Lagos state doesn't owe her workers, why should they not be punctual and up and doing?

. Just like that many of them that Okorocha built in his imo state. General hospital in every local government. Beautiful imposing structures without a single equipment and staff in any of them. Bushes have taken over many and they are now the hideout of miscreants. I think they build all these structures to get their cut from the contractors. After that, on your own. I wonder how much cut Tinubu get from this one.
