No one has answered my question fa.

Doing an upfront medical is optional, you can wait for IRCC to request for it or you do it upfront. Mind you, upfront medical does not guaranty your Visa approval. Applicants do an upfront medical to hasten their Visa processing approval.

Other gurus in the house will throw more light.

Hello guys I have been hearing past applicant say they got a medical request mail from ircc before they went to either iom or qlife clinic .
But my question is this . I did my biometrics abt 2 weeks ago and my portal status is still same as it was "submitted" up till now. But it shows biometrics has been completed ..

Can I do an upfront medical since I haven't gotten any mail from.them yet ...
Anyone who has passed that stage .Did U gt any mail from ircc before booking an appointment at those clinics
You don't have to wait till it's requested. It's better to do upfront medicals in order to avoid unnecessary delay with the application process. You'll be provided with a sheet to upload to your application at the medical center.

Now, this cracked me up.

Friendship is also a relationship. Proof of relationship means proof that you and this person are close friends at the very least.

However, your visa application cannot fly with the conditions you have stated.

The only way to make this fly is if you submit an application to a school for an academic program (MSc, PGD, etc.), successfully accept an offer of admission, and then ask your friend to pay your tuition.

You will then have to concern yourself with accumulating more than 10000 CAD living expenses. It is imperative you have this fund in your account as a steady accumulation over a long period of time (e.g., a year) rather than a lump sum.

Alright.

Please help a Brother !

I'm working towards STUDY PATH to immigration: I had previous education in Chemical Engineering, BUT all my work experience 5+yrs has been in Electrical Engineering (Automation and Control) with numerious Training here and abroad.

In your opinion which of the following options will have a higher chance of Study Permit approval:

1. Masters in Chemical Engineering (which match my academic background only but not match with my work experience)?
2. Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology 2yr Program (which matches with my work experience but is low level certificate)?

Your inputs will be highly appreciated
Thanks in advance !
If 2 is a post graduate diploma you can go for it. Whichever you choose, you must be able to convince the application officer the program will be beneficial to your career on your return to Nigeria.

In whichever visa route or category you may take, IRCC will require you to provide documents that demonstrate that you truly know this person or vice versa, or what or how the both of you are connected to confirm for themselves that it isn't an arranged sponsorship for financial gains.

You think? That may not be good enough for the officer. It will be better to have a heart-to-heart conversation about the financial aspect and involvement so you have a well-moulded understanding of how to plan and ask for well-informed guidance.

Best of Luck

The problem I have now is I don't which kind of visa category I should be working towards on

Don’t worry, you will hear from them soon. Just start working on your SOP and start gathering the documents you can, so you wouldn’t waste time in applying for visa.

All the best.

Hi everyone,
I'm just rounding up my first bsc (Law), and I'm about to submit my study permit application for a second bsc in Cruminology. Will it be an issue for me? Will I be granted visa for a bsc studies when people usually go for a masters?
Also, I don't have an official graduate transcript because we are not done, what do I submit?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by Nobody: 9:31pm On Apr 28, 2021
I'm really sorry I keep stressing you people here. I'm just trying to get everything together ASAP.

For the proof of funds, my parents are paying my fees and I'm obviously unemployed. How many of these do I need to submit then?
your bank statements for the past four months
a bank draft in convertible currency
pay stubs
an employment letter
proof of assets or business
proof of payment of tuition and accommodation fees
tax reports, declarations or statements
proof of a student/education loan from a financial institution
a letter from the person or institution providing you with money
proof of funding paid from within Canada, if you have a scholarship or are in a Canadian-funded educational program
proof of a Canadian bank account in your name if money has been transferred to Canada

There is a family member representative form. I'm the one doing practically everything and the visas are being submitted via my account. Do I get my mum to sign under this form appointing me as the representative?

Then for all these forms they gave me to fill, Adobe is saying I can't save changes to some. Does that mean I have to print, fill and then scan them? For the signatures as well, do I need to print and sign then scan?

Thank you all so much for your patience you're so kind.

i'm pretty sure it was just a glitch. i have used their virtual dollar card to make many foreign payments without any issue whatsoever. Don't worry, you would get your money back.

This company is nothing but garbage. I tried purchasing dollars to make a payment and the equivalent was deducted from my account almost immediately. I also received an email from them stating my transaction was successful. However on my app, it said my transaction was not successful and I will be refunded. This was on the 21st April . I was told my account has been refunded. Today is the 28th of April and there has been no refunded. Never again. Refund my money so I can delete your useless app you bunch of thieves stealing money from innocent people. Why do I have I have to wait 13 days to receive my money if truly it has been refunded. Never again refund my
Money and delete my profile from your stupid app. You’re thieves nothing more. I don’t encourage anyone to ever use this app. They will steal your money and leave you hanging

They dont normally text you to let you know it has been sent.

Anyways, what you are to do is, email iom and tell them about the worker. They should issue you a new medical slip with the right visa category. Once done, send the slip via email or webform, ensure you include your full name, date of birth, UCI and application numbers on the body of the mail.

Another thing is that I have already sent the e sheet given to me to IRCC via webform two days ago, I just realized the mistake today i hope this won't be an issue? Thank you

Yes, you can do an upfront medical to avoid delays. I submitted my study application same time as you and I’ve booked my medical exam for May.

You can visit the website of IOM or Qlife to book your appointment.

Please guys, I need help o.

My PPR package has been refused twice by the VAC, without any reason at all. I enclosed my passport along with all the required documents, and proof of payment of the Transmission Fee, and addressed it to the Abuja VAC office. I paid for a return-courier via UPS. Funny thing is the package easn't even opened before it was refused, so I cannot know what the exact problem is. Even reaching the VAC by phone is almost impossible because the call goes off once you select the option of speaking with an agent. The email I sent when the package was refused initially has still not been replied. This is quite a strange case.

Apart from trying a different courier service, is there anything I can do differently??

Hello gurus. I’ve gone through the amazing information on the threads. I also followed the instructions given while crafting my SOP/LOE.

I just finished writing my SOP and I was wondering if there is any Guru available to read and correct it. I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Also, I just noticed an update on the CIC page. It gave a deadline of submission for May 15, 2021 to receive a decision by August 6, 2021.

I don’t know if this is applicable to Nigerians, but I just felt that I should put this out there.

You can decide to upload documents of NSE (including mybankStatement) upfront or wait for them to be requested.
I uploaded my IELTS result with my application and I got a request to upload mybankStatement shortly after submission.

Please can anybody explain how to enrol GIC?

shupy:
if he's truly committed to sponsoring you, let him pay your tuition fee, and living expenses. Enrol to the GIC investment program. You would still have to meet every other requirement like everybody else. GIC goes a long away in proving you have genuine access to funds. If he's willing to make such commitment, then you know he's serious about truly sponsoring you.

Hi fam,

Can an applicant go through the NSE route with a fully funded MSc/PhD program? Application has been submitted but a letter came asking for IELTS result and mybankstatement certificate? The thing school is covering tuition and living expenses? Should I just ignore the letter or reply to them that I’d be going through the regular route?

Thanks
