deal with the Treasury and Aso Rock to collect at LEAST an extra billion dollars yearly for training, kit and platforms to properly prosecute the war.
Where do you expect the FG to keep on getting this billions from? Why should the rest of Nigeria suffer for the foolishness of the Kanuris?

About 30 states in Nigeria might start fighting it difficult to pay salaries and provide infrastructure because oil revenue is dwindling, and the little NNPC is getting, they are using most to pay for fuel subsidy.

In a sane country, the FEC will be dissolved, and GMB will resign for this sort of failure.

I'm looking at when GEJ took over in 2011, and comparing it to this GEJ tenure in 2021, and it seems Nigeria is just stagnant.

Yobe, Borno and Adamawa don't even contribute up to #20b annually combine to the FG, yet the FG is spending billions of Naira in this states angry

The most annoying thing is that, the Kanuris were cheering Boko haram members when they were first targeting Christians and southerners.

Yorubas that deal in buying of beans in the NE were always been attacked and some killed back then, now the Kanuris and hausas don take full charge of exporting beans to the south west and selling at high prices.

I just want this mallams to know all this shit won't keep on going on for long.

Fulanis will come from Sokoto, Mali, Kastina, Niger Republic and other hell hole countries in the Sahel region and start dragging lands with indigenous people on their land, and the yama Yama presidency will be telling us that is either we accept them or get killed.

Navy SF are better than Airforce

Blueelf:

We don;t have SF and I have said it times without number on other threads. Those guys masquerading as SF after 3 - 4 months "rush rush" training are not SF. SF soldiers take at least 6 - 9 months to train (at least because in some countries, it takes 2 years). Besides, our SF are poorly funded (only the NAF tries in this regard) but the NA SF is an eyesore.

Majority of Nigerian gas don't go to the US, it goes to Spain, India & France.
Exporting to a country makes you a trade partner nothing strategic about that, Nigeria is the 5th exporter of Gas globally meaning there are so many options out there.

Go & get the asset list of AFRICOM & stop debating your own assumptions, I didn't mention personnel, I said Assets.

Trade partnerships have no strategic meaning you say? Research on Libya and Congo then. Why does US support haftar? Trump even openly said that Haftar is protecting the oil fields even with the UN against him. Why did the US support Evo Morales ousting in Bolivia?

Let me give you two reasons why I believe foreign powers will back Nigeria, they have established deals with Nigeria in terms of gas trade. China is sponsoring the AKK platform across Nigeria and you think it means nothing to them? Developed countries are shutting down Nuclear plants in favor of gas.

Secondly, Nigeria's distabilization will give BH/ISWAP a huge advantage to spread and become formidable.

Why are you calling Beegeagle a fool?

Truthshots2:

People in the southeast have this incredible misconception that the southsouth belongs to them. Some fools like beegeagle seem to believe that the southsouth is a base for southeastern militancy. You guys need to stop linking us southsouth to the southeast, we are two different peoples in two different regions. When you are talking about the southeast, there is no need to include the Southsouth in that talk !

The southsouth is a region in it's own right, not a property belonging to the southeast or to any other region.

It is very irritating to constantly see people from other regions claiming to speak for the southsouth as if the southsouth was a conquered people !
We are not a conquered people !

Well, I may want to agree with you on the first bolded comment, the second volded comment is what we are clamoring for. What is worth doing is worth doing well. I am not in any way comparing our SF to the SAS or DEVGRU unit but at least, let them be well funded to tackle our immediate National Security concerns.

And please what is the deal with taking out soldeirs to Bulgaria, Serbia etc for SF training? Do they have terrorism concerns like ours over there? You see my point now

The answer lies in Terrain!! Eastern Europe terrain is unique.

Not a leveler, more a retrogradinger.

I’ve just left a thread where the majority of respondents – presumably Nigerians - don’t know that there are insurance companies in Nigeria. Millions of this type of mindset will work to bring Nigeria down mainly out of ignorance of their own Nation. They are the types that might cry, ‘South Africa and Kenya have Insurance companies, common Insurance company, we don’t have in this country, oh why did god let me be born in this shithole Nigeria!’

Like this, millions of ignorant, negative voices help create and facilitate despondency that empowers anti-state actors

SamuelAnyawu, you might consider a change in the location you will be hibernating. Rumors of maiduguri being the next big target. ISWAP plans to attack Jakana and Ngamdu in coming days. You may consider going to Gombe for now.

Thanks for checking up on me bro.

It will be hard for ISWAP or BH to do a major damage on Maiduguri. It’s a really big town.

I arrived Maiduguri this morning cool

Thank God Insurgents don’t have MANPADS.

Make I sleep better sleep today cool

So talking about special forces and the setuation going on in Kaduna State about students being kidnaped and killed for lack of compliance by the government.

Its cool not negotiating with terrorists.
I'm just thinking out loud and maybe someone with more insights to all this can respond with a more detailed explanation.

are setuations such as this not why we have special forces?
I mean SBS standards.

Lol we have seen SBS playing body guard roles to vip's.

Like close to five of this students have been killed already by this rag tag miscreants.
Are setuations like this not what This special intervention forces are trained to stop.?

We all saw how the Americans did it for just a single citizen thousands of miles away from home. Worst part is we even acknowledge playing a big role in the rescue which I believe sbs or some specialized unit must be a part of.

With all what's going on and the total silence from our special intervention forces, who by the way travel to various countries for training and stuff still cannot do jack.

As in, is it now on your own for the average Nigerian citizen?

WTF IS GOING ON IN THAT COUNTRY?

The budget is TINY! Naij spent some 900 mn USD for 120 k.
We spent 1.2 bn USD for 30k.
Pakistan 10.3 bn for 650k.
South Africa budget is 4.3 bn for 90k active and reserve personnel.
Per capita, only the Saffas outspend us. Tbh, its a miracle the NDF has come this far. Pay, training, acquisitions, welfare etc, etc the strain must be ENORMOUS.
IMO, the Brass would ideally come to a short term modus vivendi with BH allowing them to work out a deal with the Treasury and Aso Rock to collect at LEAST an extra billion dollars yearly for training, kit and platforms to properly prosecute the war.
Did you factor in the many extra budgetary allocations year on year?

All rescue operations start and ride on meticulous Intelligence. The disco dancers we have as intelligence agencies are busy snapping up political dancers.

The SBS cannot go and find its own Intel, can it?

May God forgive me the first thing that came to my mind after seeing this photo was MANPAD. God forbid Boko haram lay their hands on such weapons, they won't need to invade Maiduguri to do damage, just to smuggle in such hand held weapon and from any Mango tree within range launch devastating attack on any aircraft inbound or outbound.

God forbid bad thing..

NIMASA has successfully taken delivery of its 3 Aw109 special mission helicopters, their primary role will be surveillance but they will also be utilised for search and rescue operations as mandated by the IMO in the SOLAS ( Safety of live at sea) convention.

MILITARY Intelligence. They can never have as much assets (man/expertise and machine) to conduct and cultivate Intel in civilian space as much as the civilian agency.

If we can't bank on "DSS and co" then what is the essence of their creation
