I created the thread because the handwriting is on the wall and Fulanis are just waiting for time to strike. They’re the masters of deceit and they will never let him get there.

I’ll create the Awo thread myself tonight and compare him with Baba Oloja Tinubu.

Omo ale, the fact that you think I’m an “old man” when I’m still a young tiger shows you acknowledge that my wisdom is beyond my years. That’s what you get when you interact with great men like Prof. Banji Akintoye, not Baba Olojas like Tinubu.

Again, you just exposed yourself as a bottom dwelling miscreant by thinking being a “Yahoo Boy” is an achievement. Is that what you omo ales have turned the future of Yoruba youths into and what they should aspire to be? Their peers are into Fintech and Blockchain technology making millions but you think “Yahoo Boy” is an achievement? I weep for future generations of Yorubas. My heart is bleeding and the day of reckoning is coming.

I don’t socialize with miscreants. That’s your level, stick to people in your gutter level. I’m levels above them and Tinubu the Baba Oloja. A true Yoruba son blazing a trail while putting Yoruba on the global map.

Lol. I only blame that poor girl who fell for your 419 and bought you the cheap 10k used tecno phone you are now disturbing us with here.

Don't ever compare Awolowo to that selfish prick Tinubu.

Awolowo was for the people, Tinubu has never been for the people.

Don’t mind them. It’s like comparing God to Lucifer.

Fulanis were so scared of Awo they had to fake some charges to lock him up. Azikiwe also feared him and he had to keep slaving up with Fulanis just to spite him. Awo was never a Fulani slave and he’d rather die than play second fiddle to a Bororo.

Why are you asking me a dumb question?

Who’s the politician, the Baba Oloja with an Iya Oloja daughter, the godfather of MC Oluomo and the one that preys on hungry people?

I guess you think you just apply the definition of a word directly into whatever context, no? Most of you Tinubu urchins are cretins.

To start with, I didn’t insult you but you responded with loads of insults. Again, instead of answering the question, you spewed irrelevant words around and avoided the question.

I asked the question simply to help cure your ignorance. Tinubu is a popular leader in Nigeria no doubt but he’s not a populist leader. Akintoye is actually the one exhibiting the qualities of populism and hence should be the one to be referred to as a populist leader. Try and read up the difference between popularity and populism.

I am not interested in your anti-Tinubu campaign. You’re not the first and won’t be the last. However, your hate campaign won’t change anything. You will simply say your own and move on once you get tired like others before you. Cheers.

It’s obvious you don’t understand what populism is. In Nigerian context, populism would who appeals to the grassroot and has their support via stomach infrastructure.

Prof. Akintoye isn’t even a politician and most of these poor people aren’t literate enough to understand unless they’re educated about it. So what has he got to do with populism?

Food is the biggest tool for populism in Nigeria and Prof. Akintoye doesn’t have the food to give anyone.

There is no Nigerian context to populism. Populism is populism worldwide. Accept your mistake and stop being disingenuous.

Again, Akintoye is a political leader. Some folks came together few years ago to make him their political leader. And in case you don’t know, Akintoye had contested election in the past. He was even elected into the house of reps during the second republic. Leading a Yoruba secessionist group is also political. If he succeeds, he will emerge the president of the breakaway country. You’re a cretin if you think a world renowned academic who just returned to the country recently at age 86 is a politician.

If I may ask: are political parties which are based on ideologies in western countries practised the same way in Nigeria? And which Nigerian political party is the liberal party and which is the republican/conservative party? When you answer that, apply the context to populism. That’s if you’re intelligent enough to do it.

The problem with a lot of you morons is that you always think you’re smarter than you’re. Words are contextual and I don’t expect you to know that since you sold your brain for a plate of food.

Instead of raising your argument with facts and credible explanation, you decided to raise your voice with insults and bullshit. But guess what, I won’t allow you to get away with obfuscating the facts.

Banji Akintoye is a populist leader and Tinubu is a popular political leader. Calling a political elite like Tinubu a populist leader clearly shows you’re not well educated. Tinubu has never exhibited or espoused any qualities of populism. Akintoye on the other hand is cocooned in his Oduduwa nation idea. His only mission in life at the moment is to mobilize Yoruba folks to reject Nigeria and accept his Oduduwa nation because he feels Nigerian political elites are not doing enough for them. He epitomizes populism.

I don’t care whether Akintoye is 86 or 96. He was a member of the defunct UPN and contested for a legislative seat in the second republic. So, how’s someone that contested and won election in Nigeria not a politician? How’s someone trying to form a new country not a politician?

They’re just wicked and insensitive people. And they’re able to get away with it because the people aren’t literate enough to know they can demand better. Just look at how these idiots think “omoluabi” means docility. Like when have Yorubas ever been docile?

Nigeria has just successfully turned the average Yoruba into an almajiri who doesn’t know his/her rights. And I’m sure at the back of Tinubu’s mind, he’s always thinking everyone would get in line once he gives them food. The Nigerian system: whoever can spend the most and give them food to eat is always the one who cares.

People are getting killed, kidnapped and inhumane poverty has ravaged the land but to the Tinubus, it’s about politics and becoming the president. He’s be lucky to escape what they will end up doing him. Afonja would be a minor play when they finish with him. But this time, it’s going to be only him and his family, they’re not taking anything in Yorubaland else that will be the end of Fulani.

The only sane person in Nigeria is the governor of Benue. What he’s doing is what Yorubas are known for. True Yorubas are proud of him.

You’re a cretin. What issues did you call me out on?

I said Tinubu is a populist because within the Nigerian context, politics is mostly about stomach infrastructure and who can appeal to what they can eat. Nigerian populace aren’t literate enough to know who an elite is and who isn’t, it’s about who can give them something to eat in the short term.

A country where people don’t understand what political ideologies are and people are supported based on how much they spend on giving the poor people living in squalor something to eat. So, you can’t apply the direct definition of populism to a context like that, the same way the direct definition of political ideologies can’t be applied directly to the Nigerian context. The populist in this context is whoever has the money to provide stomach infrastructure. Populism is stomach infrastructure in Nigeria and the fears you need to appeal to or appease is what you can give them to eat.

Also, when you look at the last two populist leaders in the western world: Donald Trump and Boris Johnson. Both are from the elite class. However, how did they become populist leaders? Well, they know what the public fears, which is basically immigration and they were able to use that. Another contextual definition of populism.

The Oduduwa Nation idea isn’t a popular idea among Yoruba populace and most don’t care and don’t understand how it will work. What they care about is what they will eat right now to survive. So, how’s that a populist idea? It’s either you’re too stupid to see that you’re conflating Yorubas with Igbos or you’re just brain dead due to selling your brain to Tinubu.

Who cares if he contested and won an election decades ago? The man left Nigeria years ago and he only returned recently and thinks Yorubas are better off being on their own. He’s not involved in politics.

I shouldn’t be arguing with you because you’re a poorly educated and hungry Tinubu supporter whose thought process is about Tinubu and nothing else. I just indulged you to show how stupid you’re.

All these rubbish just to refine populism? Guy, you’re very slow and it’s so sweet watching you disgrace yourself publicly.

Let me quickly correct the wrong impression you painted about Nigerians not understanding political ideologies before exiting this disgraceful thread.

Nigerians are very smart and intelligent folks. There is no political ideology that we don’t understand. That our leading political parties were not formed along ideological lines doesn’t mean Nigerians are so dumb that they don’t understand political ideologies. Our political parties lack ideologies simply because of the heavy influence of religion and ethnicity on our politics. It shouldn’t be so difficult for anybody with a brain to understand that ethnicity and religion comes first before ideological consideration in Nigeria’s politics. That this fact is lost on a secessionist and bigot is quite ironic. I’m out of here.
