It depends on your relationship with the person, if it's a close friend they wouldn't ask you about work when they know you are not working but for any other person just say work is fine and move no long story because hopefully you will soon get another job.

We often reply by saying "what is fine", But sincerely speaking, it's best to say the truth about the situation by saying " guy, I am not employed as I speak or chat with you OR I haven't gotten any work till now" Who knows who will be there to help with a job?

Well for me, i will tell the person exactly what it is, it is not like the person will harm me with that information, if the person is jobless, he or she can go about gossiping, i don't really mind, no-one will kill me for saying, how it is.

So i will say, i am not working, finish. Although in my mind, i know i am moving on. .


But its all about your mind, if you know you cannot bear the shame, then you can just say, its fine, and there is no need for more questions or stories that will torture you. :
