The latest smartphone in Tecno’s Camon series is here with newly unveiled Camon 17. This new device sports a 6.6-inch HD+ screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, MediaTek’s Helio G85 chipset and a 5,000 mAh battery.


According to the listing on Tecno Kenya's official page the Camon 17 is packed with a Triple Camera module different from its successor the Camon 16 that has a Quad Camera Module. The primary sensors of the Camon 17 are a 48-megapixel main lens, which is paired with a 2-megapixel depth lens and a third QVGA AI lens with a Quad LED flash. These can take up to 4K/30fps video, and can record time-lapse up to 2K quality. At the front you have a 16-megapixel selfie camera nicely fitted in a punch-hole display with a dual LED flash above the screen.

The Camon 17 sports a 6.6-inches Dot-in display with 720 x 1800p HD resolution and up to 90Hz refresh rate with a 90% screen to body ratio. The model has rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and support dual 4G SIMs. The device is running on the latest HiOS 7.6 based on Android v11 and powered by a 5,000 mAh battery that support 18W fast charging.

And finally for storage you have 128GB of internal storage which can be extended with a microSD card upto about 1TB. The mode has a 4GB or 6GB RAM variants. You also have 3 colour variants to choose from, the Frost Silver, Tranquil Green and Deep sea Blue.

48MP no OIS, 2MP depth sensor is good as useless, AI lens for what? What happened to the ultrawide or a telephoto lens. I hope these specs are fake. Since the camon is a camera centric phone, these specifications are poor.

eyaa, so you don get eye infection? , well FYI there's a health feature on TECNO phones called eye care that is meant to protect your eyes while using your phone, maybe yours doesnt have it so i advice you get a device that does cos you will be doing yourself some real good by doing so.

See my humble level. I already have eye care activated even on a FHD screen with 400ppi.
ur transsion has HD with 260ppi at most. So you see the difference.
