ATTENTION PLEASE!!!

Please be very careful when applying for jobs. Here is a list of what to look out for:

Don't apply for jobs where they are requesting your pictures but won't specify more details about the job.

*Ladies! DON'T EVER GO to an interview at a Hotel unless you applied for a Job at a Hotel*.

Anything that's too good to be true, it really is. Any company offering a high salary for an Entry-level Job is a red flag.

*Please inform your family should you go out for an interview. Give them all details in case something happens to you*.

Avoid going for an Interview Alone, Especially women, its no longer safe out there and nothing can be trusted. It's always best to be safe than sorry.

*Don't pay any fee to get a Job, if a Fee is required during applications or interview, just know that it's a SCAM!*

We wish you all the best in your job seeking journey,

Stay safe and secure

Finally, If you can't find a job, then create one. Develop skills that would help you to be your own boss, employer ... especially in a faded country like Nigeria.

And avoid all Money Doubling Platforms where ever you see their links.
(Like, invest 10k and you will be paid 20k within 45 minutes, like WtF? Why don't they just double their own money, and keep on doubling it till they overtake dangotte or otedola)? sad
Some guys are still falling for this cheap scam, and it sucks.

Nairaland trended positively on twitter yesterday because of posts like these, in light of the unfortunate murder of Iniobong by that devilish Uduak guy. Job seekers really need to be careful.

RIP Ini

One minute silence for young Nigerian youths who have lost their precious lives just because they wanted to work with their hands and earn a living.
Miss Iniobong Umoren comes to mind.
May her dear soul rest in peace and may peace elude her killer and all his collaborators!

So much this. If entrepreneurship is possible, go into that and cool it with the job search

angry kawai if it's not a public place dont go! Infact while going make it known to atleast 5 people you are going. And while inside codedly tell the person that 2 of your friends are waiting in the car, this will make them not do what they want to do because they know someone is outside waiting. But most importantly dont go to shady places

In addition, when u get an invite, find out about d company. Thank God for internet, u can quickly check online. If d company doesn't have an online presence, don't bother. Carry out as much research as possible about d company & it's activities. If there's no info about what d company does, then d company doesn't exist. If u can't get anything online & still feel like going, get an adult (experienced male) to call the number that invited u for d interview so as to get details on what d company does. If it's not legit, they will say "just come. When u come we will tell u what we do". If they don't do that, their answers will be inconsistent & unprofessional. Those are good red flags.
