Make I tell u my own small idea. Jos is a beautiful town until d kills started, but if ur family il b safe there, life is affordable, no rush rush like lagos n abuja. If u can convince u company to relocate u to their jos office good ,but if not u can move ur family there since accomodations r affordable . But il u be paying for accommodation in abuja too? It il be doubling ur expenses , unless u ve a place u can manage at abuja while ur family is at jos. |

xristos: Dude, that will the best decision you take. I knew someone who was in the same shoe about 3yrs ago. For him, it was a decision of whether to keep his new young family in Jos and live comfortably or remain in abuja and be struggling with the same amount he'd spend in Jos....he ended up staying around Rayfield (nice 2bedroom). |

Let me give you a brotherly advice, and I hope you work on it... First of all I counsel people and I have done that on nairaland for a while... I have met great and good guys... I dropped a story about my experience teaching in two schools as a corper and would not mind partnering with schools in abuja, but some accused me of looking for teaching job... Never ever mind what people say... Back to the matter... As a graduate, teaching and earning 15k, e no bad... But once you have a good (android) phone, go to any car stand of your choice around your area... Listen well, any good car stand and ask to see the manager... Tell him you want to help him market his cars and get good buyers... 90% of car stand managers will sign u on... Tel him you will be paid a small commission after sales... Pick up your phone, snap as many cars as your phone memory can take, open a dedicated twitter ac, IG ac, Facebook ac, WhatsApp ac, ac etc... Take out time to post this cars, make sure you have the actual prices of this cars... You can add as much as #250k on it... Bring down the negotiations to as low as making #50k if need be just so I can sell. Set your monthly target... I assure you, if you get I client in a month, u make around #100,000k once you start growing, you can get as much as 5-10 client from all over the country and that hits you over #1m for just helping others sell their cars, Note all you invested was your time, energy, phone and data... No big financial capital... Do not restrict yourself to cars, go for industrial machines as well, caterpillars, mikano gens, any thing, then you look for those big companies that need them and try to call their attention to it or market it to them... You may not sell in 3 months but when you manage to get a client to buy just 1 caterpillars, my brother you will instantly forget that u suffered before... A friend of mine was marketing a silo for a local wielder, he received a call all the way from kebbi state, the purchase was made in Ilorin, he made #1.8 mil from buyers and #400k from seller... He still got a referral from that deal. Wake up bro... Within a month or two, come and pay (tite). I drive uber/bolt in abuja, market cars, sell commodities such as beans, maize, wheat, ginger, onions, name it... In bags and tonnes And I make nothing less than half a mil monthly... Affordable megatron 50,000mah powerbanks with 4 output units, type c and normal usb cord. payment on delivery within Lagos and Nationwide dispatch 11 Likes 1 Share |

Gerrard59: Your bias is stinking. Was Hinny raped, kidnapped and brutally murdered in the "core Islamic North"? What of the various Christian southerners that damage the country's image through drug trafficking, terrorism, fraud and money ritual nko? We need to be introspective and come to the conclusion that all ethnic groups and religion have their bad eggs and good chaps ( This assumes I am talking to a reasonable person) 5 Likes |

I can may agree your decision because I have been in jos for 2 years now. The weather is chilling, clean environment and peaceful security wise. However, it lacks the hustling spirit you would usually find in lagos, port Harcourt and abuja. Above all, i think jos will be great for raising ur kids given the respectful and calm demeanor of the city's populace. 1 Like |

Jos city is the place to be, cool and serenity environment no cases of kidnapping so far very peaceful place compare to any where in the North. The best place to raise your kids and family educationally and morally. 2 Likes |

Please also consider how this may affect your children's education. I have move location a lot and this has affected my son so much that I have decided until it suits their education, we are not moving again. All things being equal |

I'll advise you to move. Like you said, you're going to your office in Jos. Except there are other financial benefits you get for being in the HQ, I'll say move. |
Re: Relocation From Abuja To Jos City by richnankar1: 10:52am On May 04, 2021 |
I am from Jos, though in the South west now, but I will advise you to go for Jos if you are a salary earner. Transport, accommodation fruits and veggies are cheap. My candid advice for you too is to go for Ray field, Rantya cos they are safe. Costs of transport is so cheap that I get so angry when ever I'm in town as I see passengers begging to pay 20, 30 Naira for a drop. 4 Likes 1 Share |

If you're Igbo, I wouldn't advise you relocate with your family. Jos crises are usually radical and mostly targeted on Igbos. If you're a northerner/westerner, you're good to go! |

xristos: I live in Jos too and my salary is just an average too and work in Lagos but my family(1 wife n 1 son) stay in Jos. Jos is a great place to stay, great food, cool accommodation, fine weather n stress free road but we are thinking of relocating to the west due to rise in insecurity and Jos seems like a place of interest wc d new encyst noticed lately. But Rayfield is fairly secured. 1 Like |

Anyway, Jos is not a bad idea but my fear is that by the time they start their religious war. Please take note of weather too because at times in Jos the temperature is below zero degree. |
