"Village People" Fact Or Myth? by SQLmastar(m): 9:21am On May 03, 2021 |
Okoro was a successful businessman with strings of shops all over Alaba market. He has houses and cars to his name. He decides to visit his hometown and in doing so, offers monetary and kind gifts to some of his kinsmen, according to his magnanimity. Few months afterwards, his business begins to crumble and he is finally reduced to a pauper...after selling all his properties ofcourse. You may have seen the above story played several times in our nollywood movies but I want to ask; are they real? Do these "village People" have the power to take away our sources of joy? If yes, who gave them these powers and why can't these powers be wielded to turn their own lives to good fortunes. The reason for my post is this: I'm about to visit my hometown and would likely throw a party and render help to some of my folks because I haven't been home for some years now. But my girlfriend strongly opposes this. She says African villages are full of evil people. I don't agree with her. I'm a scientist and I believe people who crumble in their businesses may have made bad decisions and this has nothing to do with village people. My father always told me to focus and work hard. They are the keys to success. He doesn't even believe in all these spiritualisms flying around. And he has also been living in the village most of his life! Furthermore, take a look at the Western world. They don't believe in village People. Maybe that's why they are able to make economic advancements. What's your take? I visit my village atleast twice every year and I can authoritatively tell U the threat posed by "Village people" is very real. From dishing out mysterious illnesses like swelling of the legs to mysterious rings around the waistline or extreme cases stroke, their bags are neva empty of fetishism threats. I thought I had heard it all until I went for a wedding somewhere and heard about how "Pins" are mysteriously sent to people. YEA U HEARD RIGHT, PINS!!! 46 Likes 3 Shares |

I for one don't believe all these fables about spiritualism, village people, and all whatnot. But on a more lucid cognizance and relatable experience, I have decided to have a re-think. Spirits, fetishism, voodoo and witches exist, but it irks me to know that the intents of most perpetrators are influenced by hatred, jealousy and loathing compared to their fellow counterparts in the western world that uses theirs for breathtaking masterpiece. It is excruciatingly worrisome. I Love Krabby Patty.. 11 Likes 2 Shares |

My late Father would always say; “Man wey no plan him life well, go say na winch dey worry am.” You really think successful people believe in witch-hunting and traditional manipulations? It’s only the poor man that believes everybody is after him. How much is that your money. 27 Likes |

You're comparing yourself with the western world abi? When your village people do you something your eyes go open by force. Every country/race is involved in spiritualism but an African man is deeply wicked. Be careful op if you like let all these atheists deceive you. 36 Likes 2 Shares |

Village people is a myth There’re evil people everywhere. Some people are so wicked that say you buy 2 bottles of beer when dem buy 1 dey pain dem to the extent of planning evil against you. We all have to be careful Whether in the city or village. What most people don’t realize is that most of the health related problems we tag “village people” are mostly evidence of reckless lifestyles, poor health facilities, religiousness, neglect, poverty etc and has absolutely nothing to do with witchcraft A man wakes up in the morning, has not tasted any food, grabs a bottle of snapp( ogogoro), takes a shot of it on empty stomach, he proceeds to trek over 1km to his farm, he bends down under heavy sun to pull blessed Yam tuber, he works on empty stomach to 3pm, treks home. HE IS THE PERFECT HARDWORKING MAN IN HIS VILLAGE He repeats this pattern for over 20 years and one day he’s coming back from the farm, stumbles on a little stub, falls and dies. Ah village people have killed him. A young man who stays in the city hits money, buys the latest ride, it’s his first ever car, he learns to drive in one month then decides to visit mama to show her he has made money. He drives from Lagos to Enugu, enjoy a few days with family, he doesn’t service the car considering the distance, he learnt to drive barely a month ago, accident, he dies, VILLAGE PEOPLE. There’s a scenario I would’ve love to use but I don’t want my uncles children to come across it now and feel bad. Bottom line is, there’re even more wicked souls in Lagos and big cities than there’re in your village. Live right 28 Likes 1 Share |

The only way to find is by executing the plans you had already. Throw your party and do all you want to do, then sit back and relax let's see if anything/changes happens within 3 months time. 2face talk sey "Oya come make we go Make we go to all the places wey we talk say we go like to go before Make we go make we see wetin dem dey do for their Make we feel am make we check am If na two head them dey use we go know But na after how we go We go know o Wether na true talk Wether na lie them dey blow Oya come make we go oh" 8 Likes |

I don't know if it's a myth or not, but I lost my uncle to prominent men in my village, powerful people in government, because they don't want anyone to be better than them or their families. His death was on Naira land FrontPage. Think about it. |
