See our captain grin grin

If he had just stayed in the same line with McTominay, Everton’s last minute equalizer would have been disallowed for a clear offside.

Maguire simply felt he should keep everyone ONside cos he knows his friends in the media would blame De Gea for not coming out to claim the ball at the edge of the box. grin

Ruben Dias giving me Nemanja Vidić vibes.

Stones turnaround is unreal similar to Luke Shaw’s.

The condition of the team was that they had CR7 and Kaka 2 WPOTY, Man City does not have any WPOTY or anyone who has ever made top 3
Kaka that was off form due to injury when mou arrived that he had to go sign young Ozil or cr7 that was still finding his feet in a new club. What was the condition of the club when mou arrived is what I asked you, not players that got their individual awards from another team.

Don’t mind the hater.

This was what Florentino Perez said about Mourinho during the ESL interview….

”Mourinho raised the level of competitiveness in the three years that he was here. And since 2011 we have reached nine of 11 Champions League semi-finals. I will always be grateful to him for that gene that he implanted in us. Before [Mourinho arrived] we were always getting knocked out in the last 16."
They know the truth admitting it is their problem. Who doesn’t know mou made Madrid formidable again by making three ucl semi final in a role.

The condition of the club was that they had exceptional players in almost all position yet Mourinho couldnt make a final with them

Mourinho has now shown that his level is Spurs and Roma
Is it not funny that when Mourinho was signing for Roma, Pep was making a CL final

Simply because pep always go for the easy route so as to remain relevant. Aside man city or maybe psg which other team is ready to spend 1b on players without selling valuable players too for fees. Pep always run from task jobs.
Exceptional players that were underperforming in Europe.

look at Thiago Silva at Chelsea, despite his age. You just know straight up that he is quality. No talk of needing a fast CB partner or wingbacks overlapping.

He came in and took command, no time for shalaye
Took command of what? Were they not shipping goals until a new manager was brought in to improve the defense, playing a 3 man defense with 2 DM?

So why didn't Mourinho train the Lukaku to play with his back to goal? Didn't the Ashley Young also win Europa with Mourinho? Why didn't the Ashley Young and Sanchez and Lukaku win the league in a season Mourinho called the greatest achievement of his career?

Or should we add these things to the list of things we blame Ole for??

I made a simple post and the first name you could think of was Mou's. Wow.

If you think I'm a sucker for Mou's football, then you've got another thing coming. In fact, I even wrote a short article criticizing Mou's style of play and posted in this thread.

But for the Love and respect I have for the game, I can't shiiit on Mou's name and then try to rubbish his achievements...I respect Mou a lot and that's without sentiments.

I have no biz with Mou because he's had his time here. I criticized Mou and I will criticize Ole.

Can't you see that with the bold, you're trying to Limit Ole by using Mou as a yardstick? So, because Mou didn't bother to do it, Ole shouldn't do it. What a way to think!

Please, keep sentiments aside and face the truth jare.

So, my question is... Should OLE neglect it because MOU neglected it?

From a business perspective the propaganda is BS. People need to understand that having debt as a business is not really bad provided there is no cash flow problem/shortage of cash for taking care of current liabilities and opex.

The club traditionally do not recoup huge amounts from player sales because of out strategy of buying experienced players over 25, blooding academy prospects and taking a risk on wild card young players that are usually not up to par. This is unlike Chelsea that is operating a massive loan system that generates a good chunk of income from player sales.

To me the only issue the Glazer had was not employing a proper football man to take care of player acquisition and contracts negotiation, and these have been corrected some months ago.
I totally agree with the bolded.

The talk is always getting a Maguire a partner like he’s a bride.

When Van Dijk was signed by Liverpool, he made average defenders look world class all by himself. No one ever said he needed a fast, slow, obese, short, tall partner.

For £75m or £80m fee, a defender should be the solution to all defensive problems in a club. If Maguire needs another partner to function, why did he cost £80m?
Gbam!!!

Going further, I love how Weedtaker and Illimitabl...e destroyed that useless CB we parade.

You want to drag Ole for selling Lukaku but not the one who bought him to United in the first place knowing he cant play with back to goal.

Since u like giving us alerts of ex United players because Ole was the one who sold them, why not give us alerts on the rest that Ole let go.

They talk about it as if finding round pegs for round holes is a Herculean task.

Man City owners don’t know much about football and winning trophies but they are smart enough to bring in people who have built structures that have brought in trophies. And they went for them. Pep Gustfiola, Txiki, etc. They also bought players, broke numerous transfer records etc so as to create the atmosphere and structure of perrenial winners.

Watch how they’ll buy a correct striker for Pep when Aguero leaves.

It’s clear that they want the trophies. And soon enough , watch how the money will start trooping in.

With United, it’s the opposite. Money comes first so they don’t care about other things. The people at the top who are responsible for structure and player management haven’t changed much. Murtough, the newly appointed football director or so is rumored to fvck up Haaland’s transfer to United couple of years ago by being negligent and careless. Look at him being rewarded with a new improved role. What does Fletcher have on his CV to justify the role they just handed him?

But you fans want success. When the owners want money. They don’t care about success at all. Ole and underperforming players are a symptom of the system. They pay unnecessary big bucks when it doesn’t merit it and when the situation rises to spend a bit more and achieve success, they fold up.

The only thing keeping United is the brand that SAF worked tirelessly to build for decades. And that brand is quietly fading. When Man City takes over and nobody gives a fvck about United again, these people will sell the club and move onto the next victim.

The same way you can't see Maguire qualities was how Stones was being abused back then.
False, Stones was an exceptional “Ball Playing cb” his defensive game though was average at best and he was rightfully dropped.. and was labeled a flop then..

Man ironed his deficiencies and fought his way up the pecking order, He earned it.

No shortcut like “because he was the most expensive CB, he must play”

Luke Shaw faced similar thing.
Shaw’s story is similar to John stones, Fvcking Brendan Williams was keeping him out of the team, he had to rediscover himself and work his way back to the starting XI.

Maguire on the hand has played the most minutes of any outfield player in the league since making his debut.

If he plays nonsense, he starts.

his hand is broken, he starts.

he just came out from prison, he starts.

Pray tell.. how’s Maguire’s case similar to that of stones and Shaw? He’s very much similar to LVG’s “My captain must play” Wayne Rooney.

With John stones you know he can play with ball at his feet. even then people were still not convinced with his defensive side of the game and it showed on his first season with Man city.

Shaw was a speed star and even earned himself a place in the PL team of the season playing for Southampton.

Maguire isn’t known to be a genius ball playing Cb that was just a narrative the press and propaganda created and millions swallowed it,

he only knew how to move with the ball and was dominant in air, that’s what he was good at, and we are seeing it here in Man United.

defensively he’s average, people always say he’s good defensively but that’s just to make themselves feel good about the 80millions.

He’s average and the fee we paid for him is comedy level.

He’s 26-27.. what you are seeing now is his prime.

I understand that some of them are siding the Glazers because they have shares in the company. But come on! This thing is obvious to the blind. The money the club has spent on servicing debt alone would’ve improved the club a lot. No wonder SAF and David Gill left when they did. They saw a sinking ship and saved themselves.

All the top 6 teams have spent better than United in the last decade, except Arsenal. And include Leicester in that list. Go and check. It’s not about throwing money at anything and everything.

When City was building a formidable squad, the Glazerts were relying on an ageing squad to keep delivering the goods. And when they should be wise in the market they were foolish and then set a precedent of being foolish.
