pope191:You seems to have a soft spot for riders especially the female folks, why? Anyways, everyone has the way they carry out their duties, as for me weather on Indriver or not if you didn't indicate stops or preferred route to your destination I won't allow you have any or direct out of the usual route as directed by Gmap, should I be going out of a route you may not be familiar with mayne due to traffic I'll inform you before diverting so you dont feel unsafe. I may only have a brief stop for you provided its along the route you're going and you must not take more than 3minutes other wise I'll end your trip immediately you return. You pay me for the distance covered already and time taken then book another ride right there before proceeding, if you're lucky the trip gets to me fine! Otherwise, I wait for you till your driver arrives. Should he be taking too much time other than 5min, I leave Immidiately I get a request. Mind you all of these time ive already turned of my car with my glasses down Immidiately you left to where you went before. I'm not your private driver, I'm just a business man. Sorry if its a card trip because you wont come back to meet me after wai ting for 5min max. But if there's luggage in my car I'd already end the trip tue moment I sight you coming out, "Ha oga! Why did you end the ride? I told you I would only wait 3min before, besides you didnt include a stop on your trip. I.e. manipulation of trip price. It's as simple as that. Respect is reciprocal I'm glad to be a hoodlum driver oh. 7 Likes |

donfortune48: Bros that's not the contract paper... Get the contract papers before coming to a conclusion. I base my argument on assumption from the little information I have at my disposal. Now that I've done some brain storming do well to counter it with something better and not just a mere cheap talk |

Pearl1910: Azin!! There is something he's probably mot doing right or probably not telling us the actual truth. 15k gross is probably 7-8k net after fuelimg and feeding, this is very poor for a 14hr work input. Matrix414 is there something you're not telling us here? |

donfortune48: Damn right brother! Thanks for pointing out the flawed calculation. I just went through it again. 5.6m for 2 &1/2 years 7.2million for 3years 9.6million for 4years at 50k weekly (let's assume thats the cost of 60 & 55trips) on this same Uber! That's a lot of money and i heard they have over 100 cars in their garage solely for this purpose. Its either the CEO is a money launderer or failed to do his market feasibility studies. One has to complete almost all incoming request to fulfill the 60 trips obligation both 500 naira trips & terrible roads. Another concern is :how sure are we that 17k fuel would cover 60trips week in week out? 3 Likes |

Lasuth started charging parking fee of #200. You drive in to drop rider, you pay. But i think is wrong. A state own hospital. And i hope Uber and Bolt will start to include it in earnings. |

geezyk: How do you mean? Did you call the number? What did the person say to you? You too have to be careful with the ways you talk down on people's business they've taken so much time and energy to build, its totally wrong. I know that Mr. Femi and for a long time now, I've worked with him especially during the corona virus lockdown... He's into fleet management and a trust worthy person with great integrity. If Mr. Femi collects 15k from his contractors to pay his driver for 7hrs jobs he will pay you the same amount Even if you staryed late and work for only 2hrs... I've never seen a man like that before. I remember a job I did for him sometimes last year, took some of his clients (medical scientist) within lekki and VI for just about 2hrs only and he paid me the full day job of 15k ad at then... I dont know anything about his contracts now, but the young man is a man of integrity and all the time I worked with him I never meet him nor see him until the day he requested a ride on Uber only for me to call to find out it was his contact that came out from my phone, I was like, for real?! I cut the call and dialed again just to be sure I didnt dial tje wromg number. So if the terms and condition is not okay with you please skip and let others take a try. This is the same thing we are talking about with the moove plan(DTO), the country is already hard enough, people are hungry, no job anywhere so the least you could do is give a bad report about somebody don't even know. Its wrong! 6 Likes |

northbird: Do you mean to say, what if he works arpund these areas? Besides, the young man said he works mainly in the Island so I do not think that's the case here. Again, where you live doesn't matter in this racketting, ive seen people live in sagamu, Ogun State, inside Ikorodu and outsketch of Lagos but come into Lagos to work and still make something reasonable. What matters is the quality of trip you take and do daily and the period. 2 Likes |

Felicity001: Simple: A woman can make or mar u, but I'm soft on every gender till you give me the reason not too. Life is simple, when you say you can't do this or that, I feel it's important to check if it's not ego overriding sense of judgement. For example, I pick a rider going to lekki phase 1 from ikeja for 3800, maybe on uber the trip could have end at 3200 or 3500 with commission. Now it took the rider 2 mins to hop into the car... let's assume the rider spend 12 mins after arrival to come out, what would you have done? End trip and spend another 30 mins surfing for trip? So what's the big deal if someone that didn't spend up to 2 mins to hop into the car plead for 5 mins in a reasonable manner. I'm a business man and I'm telling you, cutting slack and power of negotiation are 2 skills you don't joke with in business. Last month I worked for a man for 3 weeks and he paid me 250k plus a gift of 50 pounds (while I still drive and make 10k some days inbtw), all from attitude of tolerance. Even this morning the man I took to Lekki yesterday morning called if I can take him to same place, but I have to turn that down, because this IT students trying to catch up with Uber won't let me go online. So boss I don't know how u run your parol, maybe you just like noise, cos I can imagine you taking me from magodo phase 2 to VI on cash trip and I plead for 5 mins just to get food at Heyden Alepere, end up spending 10 mins and you cancelled out of principle. What will happen, if I refuse to pay for distance covered? Are you going to beat me or what? Even if I pay you, how long will you drive from dia to get a rider ( lets assume 24 mins traffic get out). Make we allow wisdom deh follow us for dis waka. Note: I still they change em for rider if he or she act anyhow, Shollywendy can attest to the one I change d matter for immediately inside Oniru, she was going to Yaba 2500, but need to pick charger at Agungi Desmond Elliot ooo, are u kidding me . I still changed it for one lady last week, she insist on Ikorodu rd from Ozone cos her work mate wants to drop at Maryland, while she's going to Ogudu the Ketu side. Madam! I'm not angry that you let me drove down to this place before saying all this, but I can't and she goes with is it the money, talk I'll add sometin, those words use to mad me, add 300 abI? Work mate request to find his way, madam says no, I must take them... huh! On top my car, oya! Make una get down, she got reluctant. Me: is this your office? I'll scatter ground, come the next day to see your HR... no body tell them before they jump down. 16 Likes 1 Share |

northbird: In this case, its an example of not driving smart. Definitely u will rest, but u cant be sitting for hours in a spot waiting for trip that will only come by luck. If u take someone to VI or ICM early in d morning, u dont wait there for trip now, if not u will wait for 2hours. U have to go back to a residential area and pick people going out. 4 Likes |

But let's b honest, how many drivers in Indriver have tap on 5mins and take 15mins to get to the rider? What if the rider choose not to embark on the trip because of 10 mins different? I'm not really in for all this I b strong man thing |
Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Pearl1910: 11:29am On May 05, 2021 |
Matrix414: Set destination when going home by 7pm. Or better still hover around Ikeja till 10pm. By that time u will use less than 15mins to get home. Win win situation, u get home about thesame time and u make more money instead going to get stuck in traffic for 2hrs 2 Likes |

Felicity001:Bro, no be fight, and you don't need to write a long epistle to show you know Mr Femi. You might know him directly most of the people here don't, he might have been an old contributor to this thread, most of us here haven't seen a single post of his this year, and he just shows up to make an advert, anyone in their right senses knows how bad the insecurity in the country is right now and how they prey on the desperation of people. The right thing for you to have said is you know him and can voich for him, not you writing all this epistle just to show how much or fast you can write. And moreover, I never talked down his business. We're our brother's keeper, and a stitch in time saves nine. 6 Likes |

OJURONGBE1: The amount is okay considering the market price of that car and because you are using 2.5 - 3yrs to pay for the car. The problem lies in d conditions attached; working solely on Uber, doing minimum 60trips, not travelling with the car etc. U can't expect someone to pay for those cars with the current fares and we haven't even talked of maintainance cost. Yes, 17k fuel will do 60 trips a week on the average. i.e 4k fuel a day, 15 trips a day for 4days. Those 2014-2016 Corollas conserve more fuel than their 2003-2012 brothers. |
