The fear of the unknown is what I sense here. You need to break ursef from shackles of dependency. Yes, you can do it, it’s doable. You just need reassurance, dedication and commitment.

Like I always say, the first set of people you acquaint ursef with in the UK will have impact on ur UK journey. Find people that share same goal as ursef and it will be smooth sailing for you. People that mean well for you and point you to the right track.

You are not just a girl, you are now an independent, bold and courageous lady who knows what she wants and will strive to get it.

What kind of people should you acquaint yourself with and where can you network to meet better people ?

Most of the advice I've seen is to avoid Nigerians and Nigerian churches

Biko, stop talking like this........ We are thinking like European's already..... Our advice/suggestions/debate/banter/hot - heads etc etc.....

Is bound to lead some people astray....... Leading them searching for lost trays/ashtrays ........ cheesy

Bros marriage matter no easy, I no de like put my mouth inside. I have realized we all want different things, some people are fine with crazy people, because there is a part of that crazy person they don’t see outside. I guess that’s what is meant by “beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.”

The only thing I tell anyone is don’t lie to yourself. If it’s not working or going to work, you will always know, but sometimes we want to lie to ourself just to keep faith.

Marriage matter no easy. Simple

Please I have a question and I need help. I have a 2months+ son, gave birth here in the Uk in March and I'm on a dependent visa, my husband is the one schooling. Is my son entitled to free NHS treatment and to what age? I'm I to apply for visa for him? Elders, kindly advise

Congrats. For NHS treatment, I did not give birth to my son in the UK and he gets proper treatment from the Health payment we made (which you tag as free). So I am very sure your son will get that treatment for free (in your words) cos the ones wey dem born outside but de here de get the treatment. I don’t know what part of the UK you are in, but from what I have seen, this UK people don’t joke with “kids n treatment”. So you go enjoy that one wella.

For the visa part, I think getting him a passport is the thing first, I think visa part go be issue when you decided to carry am comot from UK and come back e go turn issue. I am not sure of this, only answering from reasoning, so you will have to wait for the 20yrs UK resident them to answer. The only reason why I am writing the part I am not sure of is because when woman born her worry de increase expecially when the matter na about the child. So na to calm you down and let you know say nothing de happen.....

Hello all.

I have finally gotten an appointment next week for biometric capture for passport renewal.

The email I received did not mention anything about paying for the money order however, it was clearly stated that I need to bring a 'stamped C4 special delivery envelope'. I have previously seen in the platform that a sort of money order was required to be paid.

Please, just wondering if anybody recently attended their appointment in London and still paid the money order.

Kind Regards.

Hello everyone. My friend just asked me that if he lies about how many kids he has before renting a two bedroom home. Will the landlord find out. If they do will there be consequences?

Hi, I can tell you for sure that I did not hand over any postal or money order. I went with a self addressed envelope as mentioned. The process is a lot quicker, and my turn around time spent in the embassy was under 1hr 30 mins for Passport Renewal. I had my appointment today.

Overcrowding is a criminal offence. The landlord can bounce him. Tell him not to lie.
However, the ages and genders of the children determine whether a property can be said to be overcrowded, and I think he can pretty much fit the bill with 3 young children below 10 or so in a 2 bed flat, if I remember correctly.

There’s no magic rule to this. It’s just a matter of connecting and networking with like minded people. E.g u wouldn’t be asking a Nigerian born in the UK how u can change ur immigration status. You need to be asking people who have gone through similar process and can relate to your situation. Start from your Uni alumni, people who came to UK to study and are now permanent residents.

Information is VERY key!!!

Depending on the kids but its hard to hide 3 kids as their evidence would be seen when it's time to return deposit. I think she should come out straight and say it
