Hello.

At what exchange rate do banks give USD for school fees?

What's the process of doing this?

Which bank is very good in doing this? I have account with GTB and First Bank.

The biometrics will show/update at the time decision on visa is issued/made. Nothing to worry about.

Hello all,

Please I want to ask a question for a friend. He has done his biometric and medicals on the same day 31st of March. The medicals have shown on immi account that the result has been sent to DHA but the immi account is still requesting for the biometric. He went back to vfs to as them and they said they have sent it to DHA.
Please will the immiaccount keep requesting for biometric while the visa application is been processed. Please is urgent.

Cheers
Genny

Good morning House,

I just got an offer from ECU in Western Australia, starting in July 2021.

Please should I accept the offer or defer till February next year due to the border closure.

if there any hope of international student going in by October
Re: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by Priceless25: 7:41am On Apr 16, 2021
@max99.. No hope of entering Australia this year, next year's entry has even lesser probability of opening up. Scott Morrison's govt is botching up it's vaccination campaign, defer to next year's intake and hope for the best. If things don't look up by year's end, I'll look towards Canada.

Which is cheaper for me?

Doing Associate Degree in Nursing in US or Accelerated Nursing Program in Australia?

The person has Degree in Microbiology already. But Accelerated Nursing Program is almost $40k for the one year tuition.

The Associate Degree is $8k per year. Three years, which is $24k.

Australia or US?

Even better to start looking at schools in Canada right away; if the admission & visa are gotten before Australia opens, then onwards is the movement.

This Australian govt don't seem to have a plan for reopening - they just keep kicking the can down the road, happy to close themselves in and postpone the economic impact (which is definitely inevitable) into the future . Going by the massive contribution of international students to the economy, one would think there would be some plan being developed. Newsflash, it doesn't seem so.

For anyone able to gain admission in Canada, go for it. And whenever the Australian border eventually opens, one can decide to either maintain in Canada or switch hemispheres.

Please can someone switch schools from Canada or Uk to Australia. Or you meant I should pay the indicative fees for ECU, apply for the visa and if I get the Grant, hold it and move to Canada. If and when Australia open I can decide to go back to Australia??

Go through the link, it may help you but you should have used a more appropriate word for the person you quoted because the technical stop is not possible presently as the border have been closed for 1year. The only people that are allow into the country are citizens, PR holders, those with travel exemptions and pilot program organised by states and they must be in quarantine for 14days. So getting a transit visa for just 72hours presently is near impossible as you won't be allow to stay in the country for such period, and also the country only welcomes approved airlines at a given time with provision for quarantine for those on board.

Honestly your situation is a bit dicey, Mass communication is not on the Skilled assessment list and getting a visa to study graduate certificate or diploma course from naija is a bit hard, and also no Uni will offer you post graduate degree with HND. Maybe you should look towards another country.

There does not appear to be much changes on willingness to open border to students, especially with the escalation in India. Whilst it is possible that places like NSW may take some few students before end of year, 2022 more likely a timeline to plan towards.

Good evening everyone,

I have a situation at hand, I got an offer from UTAS and I am contemplating whether to accept it or not due to this border restriction. However, I have a few concerns that I need clarity on from everyone.

1. How is the deferment of admission done? Is it after acceptance of offer and payment of the course deposits or before?
2. Is there a chance of the borders being opened before July 2021 because the admission is for the July session.
3. How many times can one defer admission in UTAS?

Kindly help with answers. I do not also mind further information/guidance from the experienced ones on this journey. I am stuck in between, please come to my rescue.

Thank you.

You can defer before acceptance, before payment and also after. It all depends on when the decision to defer is taken.

Deferment in UTAS is done once from the information on their site. You can also ask them directly to know if there's a consideration or exceptions based on the border condition.

I do not know when the border will open tho. I'm also waiting and looking forward to that.

Thank you...
