This is one disadvantage of ehaling and perhaps any job that requires active involvement. If you don't work for just two days, especially for those with lots of bills to pay, you will feel the financial "loss" immediately.

Unlike my 8-5 that I can take a two day sick leave and still collect my full salary at the end of the month grin

That's true

My first day on ehailing, I took someone to a hotel. I was to wait for him and take him back to the hotel I picked him. While I was waiting, I got a 1.7 surge request and just allowed it ring out. I was even wondering why bolt was giving me a trip when I wasn't done with the current one.

Imagine say na now grin. Even if I agree to wait and take you back, the moment that surge trip came in, I'm ending that trip.

Infact, anytime I'm waiting for a rider at a stop, I'm always checking my rider app to see if there's surge in that location grin.

Quick question chief... is there any implication for launching the rider app while the driver app is still active? Even without necessarily proceeding to book a ride.

Copy that, thank you.

Can I assume that same applies to Bolt as well?

Bolt doesn't have spelt out guidelines on app usage. So, I can't say.

But, many have gone trying that stunt on uber.
The act is fraudulent.

I don't know wettin una dey complain about oh.

When I heard about the Indrive commission two days ago. What I did first thing in the morning yesterday before going online was to test their payment method. And I successfully topped up 2k with my card even when I still have their 1,100 bonus.

The payment is 100% same way you top up your Lekki Toll-gate card.

Chief indriver I greet ooo, anytin for us?

For those who want to check whether there's surge on Uber or Bolt and you r still on a ride.

Very easy, just type your location n destination into the Google map prompt, scroll rightward to the icon( man hailing a cab). If there's surge, you would see the spike with d prices, you needn't check any rider app for that.

Gmap comes preloaded with the phone. So no Uber technology can detect that.

Hey God
There is no blame game here. we don't have a government
Drivers asked for a better working condition and more money. (same way uber drivers strike abroad)
It is left for the coy to listen and negotiate or ignore (as they have done in Nig)
we are only showing other drivers not hustle to die, but hustle with sense to stay alive.

Have you noticed that Bolt has started giving more bonuses
12,000 for 32trips.
3,100 for 10 trips, on Saturday 9 hours online.
As at last week it was 25 trips, 20hrs online.
I shouldn't be telling you this cos you will go and increase your rentals to 35k.

Are you aware that Bolt has a health isurance for every driver that falls sick while driving?

There's a way people can activate it to get s9me money out during sick period and for hospital bills.

Either bolt of Uber I guess, you can query your app by email to know more then I can help you with tips on how to activate if I can see that health insurance agreement.

I know they have HMO but I'm not sure its for everyone, it's for top drivers I think.

I win their HMO almost every month anyway though I don't need it. I have one at work that covers the family and my wife also has one at work that covers us.

And to the best of my knowledge, no HMO will give you money when you fall sick. You go to the hospital and the company/bolt pays the hospital directly.

It has worked 3times for me (depends on how you compose your message, in d 4,300 I told them it was almost causing a scene so I had to let go. Bolt don’t want you to fight with customer, they are also protecting their brand)
First : 1,700
2nd: 4,300
3rd : 1k
Though this last time, I was told not to confirm ride again if I don’t get alert.
During the interrogation with bolt enquire/support team.
I had to tell them that the mode of payment is 1.Card and 2.cash so they don’t expect me to be going online to check my alert. The woman come calm down.

But you be Goat you don chup too many bonus, they won’t pay you back

Don't even try to have both the rider and driver apps on the same phone if its Uber, if it's a different phone don't also try to have those app with the same mobile number else na blocking be you name.

But it's a goal if it Bolt.

Uber pays allowance for everyday you seat at home to sickness for at least 30days provided you fall sick while on ride... I really can't get my hands on that document right but but im sure of what I just said.
