pocohantas: Was a actually a fuel of 2k. Very early in the money I was going to VI with a client. I say make i buy 2k fuel since the ride na 4k make i use the remaining 2k cure my fever. Na so this small boy of about 19 sell me nonsense o. Motor come stop for untop 3rd mainland bridge and it was raining. Na so rain beat me where i dey stranded. My client begin para till those police checkpoint at Ebutte metta come give me 2 liters if fuel for 500 (2019 o). I just drop the client block speed reach the fuel station, the guy was selling to someone else na so I dash am blow for mouth blood full everywhere, him colleague come chook mouth for the matter, na so i dash her big slap, People begin run think say I be thief till i explain for them. I don already call my goons because i live in the area (Pedro). My guys don come, fuel station don halt service. Na so we begin fight everybody till supervisor come. Give me full tank, pay for my shirt wey the guy tear, pay 3k to my guys for drinks, still tell me sorry on top because him find out say na area boys we be. Since that day. @ OP,sorry about the incident. Those fuel attendants can make you loose like your cool. It's better to just beg for tips than steal. My own episodes are always extra charges when inputing into d POS,in the range of 500 to 1000. I always demand and ensure they pay me back because anytime I drive into a gas station, my guard is always up. So annoying. Even if na 10kobo,thief na thief cos it's my freaking sweat and sleepless nights. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Poorboy:So if they carry her to court, court will just punish her and sentence her without giving her opportunity to defend her actions? I bought 5k fuel and the guage didnt move, and the foolish boy claimed my fuel guage is faulty.. And u think court wont call a technician to confirm if its faulty or yet still bring down the tank and check whether the fuel inside is up to the volume i bought? Do u think court act like an average agbero that will act before listening? 8 Likes |

tojahh: I read your story with my mouth open. My craze no reach like this. They can turn an angel into a demon. It was a girl that actually received the money, then she called the guy to come sell. I was wondering why, felt she was new or something. IamAsiri: Yes, he felt I don’t know about cars (as a woman that I am). I was watching it, I was very sure I saw the figures move. |

poiZon:if you're using your brain , you will know since she left the station with the car, the fuel attendant will say she has removed the fuel from the car tank. What she did if the fuel station follow her up she will land in trouble, she acted foolishly. |

NoToPile: Watch how the hold the nozzle when dispensing fuel, the normal way to hold a nozzle is half way, pressing it to the end will withhold the fuel and only air and little amount of fuel will be dispensed |
Re: How I Was Scammed At A Fuel Station by poiZon: 10:07am On May 07, 2021 |
descarado:Altering pumps number is organisational fraud against the company and not the customer buying products. What they do most times is if they sold for car A for 4k, and u r in a hurry to buy and u dont step down from the car, and they dont do this to their regular customer so it wont burst their bubble. They will not reset the pump but continue from that 4k and dispense for u. I don buy fuel tire for this life. I know how metres work. No metre will pump air.... Not possible. Its either they reduce the metre capacity to shortchanged customers or the pumo attendant play smart one on u. 5 Likes |

Poorboy:How do they remove fuel from cars? Siphon abi.. Do u know modern cars now u cant siphon fuel from it? If u read well and had proper understanding of what u read, u would have seen where she said she noticed her fuel guage didnt move, she had to buy another fuel in the same station but the pump attendant refused to sell to her again.. Cos he knew what he did before. She did not leave d station after noticing the scam the pump boy did. 2 Likes |

Any filling station I'm entering the first time, I usually go there with my 10 litres container. After filling my tank I ask them to add extra 1,500 own in the container. This is my own way of assessing their gauge and ensuring they didn't just blow air into my tank. People are desperate. 1 Like |

poiZon:what kind of modern car can she afford please don't burst my stomach with laff abeg. See I don't have time to Debate with unwise people like you. If you know that the law is base on evidence not assumptions. Immediately she left the fuel station with her car, she has killed the evidence she would have use in court. Leaving the fuel station with the pos she disrupted their sales for that day, tarnishing the image of the fuel station in front of other customers, calling the fuel attendant a thief. The damages for that if she if found guilty in court would be much, she can sell whatever she drove without meeting up the payment. Nairaland is for you to listen to wise counsel not to bring up your village idea it won't fly. Have a nice day. |

End up in jail indeed. Is that how people end up in jail? Then all the irate customers would be in jail by now.People end up in jail for walking at the wrong time and have to part with bail money Those irate customers usually don't take the station's things with them. Such people are't interested in court cases because they are not clean. They rely on police and make money for them. I have seen ridiculous reports built on more shaky legs. It is much easier to report that a lady who was forced to pay for fuel "stole" their POS while leaving than another who damaged their dispenser over a disagreement But since they don't know you and can't track you. You don't need to watch your back 1 Like |
