Why does governors in eastern Nigeria need to build new ports wen the awusa-afonja led govt thru the NPA has refused that more than 6 Ports on the region will work?

Sense is free and available, it remains to use it.

This argument does not hold water

The richest region in nigeria remains the eastern region. Over 80% of govt revenue comes from easterners.

You need to stop this mentality of LYING

The Yoruba are a race. Open a dictionary and educate yourself on the meaning of the word tribe.
The SE is actually the poorest region in Nigeria . only than the North East Region which is ravaged by insurgency comes close

What is "eastern region" another attache by force agenda to SS that are rejecting you left and right?

That is a readily verifiable fact

Your claim about easterners revenue only makes me pity you, honestly you are piteous.
Let us assume that ridiculous claim is true. Who do these "easterners" get their stupendous wealth from?

U people enjoy making stupid statement as a defend to injustice being meted out on other sections of Nigeria aside Yoruba land. U der gej, Yorubas cried like babies on newspapers and all over social media that they are marginalised by gej, u guys nearly died. U even had to vote an evil genius, a coup plotters and an ethnic jongoist out of jealousy...u couldn't stand at the disadvantaged position that IGBOs have stood in for the past 50 years.

U were already hating on gej and yorubas called awusa people & formed apc to topple gej and u mumuishly still expected him to open over 6 eastern ports so that Lagos state will collapse so that u can hate him even more? Mind u, gej was president for 5 years, stop the stupidity.

How will ekwwremmadu and ihedioha force the awusa-afonja govt to reopen eastern ports? Are u a lunatic? Is it the job of their office to reopen eastern ports?

Keep making excuses, U have moved from ur initial angle and u are now blaming easterners for the seaports shutdown by awusa-afonja who have run nigeria since 1960

Thiefnubbu has nonsense, The north agreed with yarriba for all ports in the east to be shutdown because awusa themselves have no access to the sea. If awusa had access to the sea, they would be no single working port inlagos state

So what's the benefits of IBOs in power?

Gej in office for 5years and cannot bring meaningful development to ur region?

Tinubu is not a political office holder yet he is attracting development to Lagos?

What did ekeweremadu,Anyim & ihiodia brought when they were in power?

Don't be fooled
Think and make life better for your people!

The question is why did GEL not re-Open port in the SE/SS when OBJ shut them

I'm sure you understand the meaning of hypocrite? I've made my comment it's either you agree or disagree, I found no where I'm being hypocritical if not that your sense of judgment has taken over you!
Lagos state contributed to the finance of the project "yes" agreed, lagos state gave the land "yes" agreed, lagos state owns part of the ownership doesn't mean lagos owns the port entirely to itself OK? If it were so then federal government and the Nigeria ports authorities won't be involved in the first place! So my dear get that into your "lovely skull"
Finally, I wasn't advocating that lagos state should be concerned about any project in the south east why should they anyway? I'm directing all enquiries to the federal government so get that again into the small lovely skull of yours,
Meanwhile, I'm a lagosian so it has nothing to do with what you think.
An initiative of Lagos state should never be a platform to talk about how other parts are allegedly sidelined. Create a thread for that typical stuff you do on daily basis.
I am less concerned if you are a Lagosian or not

You think building a rail line is the same as reconstructing a highway?
Apapa-Oshodi Expressway has taken only about 30 months to reconstruct.

There’s a reason that Lagos is the ONLY subnational government in Africa to build/finance a light rail...
Even an advance economy like NYC’s took several decades to finally complete the Second Ave line (launched in 2017).

All seaports are prioritize at Lagos State. Why not fund immediate construction of other seaports too in the south south or south east to distribute economic advantage.

Lagos State government with private partnership is doing this. What is the government of that region doing? What is their priority?

Eyaa! Wishing you success in your quest to become a Lagosian! Meanwhile, I did not choose where to be born into, secondly, there is absolutely nothing fascinating about my place of birth lagos, but I just can't deny my place of birth so im stocked on it! There are better and more relaxed states in Nigeria I would have wished to be born into.. So stop making it look as if lagos is "Thy will be done" not even close to it! I've lived in many cities in Europe as well as Africa Lagos has never topped my list in Africa so why the noise.. I'm just educating you about the normals, if you like accept it if you like don't..
My birth certificate is a proof so I really don't need any' oluwole junk' modifying my already existing certificate, you can gather your brother, sisters father mother uncle and anties and proceed to lagos Island from ilorin to get lagos citizenship, I'm in no need of it even though I have it! There are better places in this world to think about than in a place filled with people of hatred always looking out for there fathers downfall.

He's right. The Akwa Ibom state govt has been dilly-dallying on that port for too long. To worsen things, some ethnic jingoists wrote a letter to the Ministry of Transport and NPA asking that the proposed site be shifted to another local government just to spite the Oron people. Fortunately, the administrators at those federal offices objected and insisted the port will remain where it has been proposed. Meanwhile, the government is wasting close to 10BN naira on a mumbo-jumbo ecumenical centre.

Udom is a monumental disgrace, no ifs or buts!
