It is a good analogy. Haman felt angry at Mordechai not bowing down to him, and allowed his rsentment to fester to the point that it led to the ciricumstances where he ended up getting hanged...because his 'enemy' happened to be the relative of the wife of his employer...the Emperor of the Persian empire.
