TAO12:. You and this Ryder you are quoting I don't know who is dumber and the chief crab brain. Ilorin ceased to be a Yoruba town since 1829 after Afonja Kakonfa was longed killed like a dog by the Fulanis. Ilorin was far an emirate and this lizard brain Ryder of a guy called it a Yoruba town. Instead the Fulanis were busy rampaging Yoruba town and sending the captured Yoruba men and women as slaves to Mecca, how then was it possible that Ibadan under the mercies of the Fulanis could be a threat to Benin when they were panicking for their lives? Fulanis destroyed old Oyo and Islamized every conquered territory and the Ryder guy just like a fish brain like you think they posed any threat to Benin, you both must be high on Oyemiran weed. Mind you as at this time in Lagos, the Oba of Benin still had Lagos under his control which was on thing the British authorities were scheming to take charge, which they eventually did and the exile of the Oba to calabar The Fulani emirate and emir 1897 welcomed the British with no cough and the emir bowing down while the feared Oba was exiled, badan a city that just came into prominence around 1800 when Benin and other coastal towns had longed been dealing with slaves through ports like lagos, fell far earlier in 1893 to the British with talking drums greeting their arrivals And Jokers like you and the fish brain Ryder guy are clapping for yourselves over garbage research You are bunch of scallywags and scattered brains.... Yeye de smell, I tell you 3 Likes 1 Share

UGBE634: Ogedengbe didn't reach anywhere dont let these pained Yorubas suffering from argumentative disorder lie to you.. Ogedengbe was just a bandit raiding small farm settlements at border villages, when he learnt benin forces were on the way to confront him he fled.. the benin general that informed him of Benin plans to capture him was executed for that.. Ogedengbe the thief was latter hanged for stealing a goat.. Yorubas have no heroes to celebrate so they praise their thieves and their slave raiders.. |

TAO11:Tao, was Ijebu under Oyo empire? All people have been bringing as evidence are mere tales. I want to know. |
Re: Warri Succession Crisis: Oba Of Benin Wades In, Meets Ologbotsere by TAO11(f): 11:14pm On May 08, 2021 |
nisai:Short Answer: No! Longer Answer: The Ijebu kingdom was independent of Oyo’s control and domination despite some Oyo traditions which may be stretched to the contrary. Such traditions (although not explicit in the first place) have been understood by historians to be the typical exaggerations expected to have emanated from the excessive praise of the powerful kingdom by its court arokins. However, there is strong evidence consistent all over Yorubaland which shows that Yoruba kings in general (including those independent of the Alaafin’s control) deferred to him in different ways including in resolving their internal and inter-kingdom disputes. But to be clear, at the peak of the Alaafin’s empire, he was the richest, most powerful, and most influential of all Yoruba kings. Moreover, during that same period of Oyo’s peak, the Awujale is second only to the Alaafin, in Yorubaland, in wealth, power, and influence. Cheers! 8 Likes 5 Shares |

KingOKON:Yoruba language is better than yours. Atleast, the Yoruba stretches as far as Near East, despite the fact that Hausa language is classified as Asiatic language . After all, Yoruba language has more words related to Arabic, ancient Hebrew,Coptic language (still brought to Egypt by Hebrew settlers who were earliest Christians in Egypt ). Infact, your bantoid language is not recognised. Why do feel pained ? |

davidnazee:You are so inconsequential before me. This is the reason I dont pay attention to your geometric lies. Islam had been amongst Yorubas before Fulanis were even muslims. Did Yoruba learn how to go into sacred chamber backwardly as being done in Kaaba from Fulanis? Does Fula language looks Arabic to your ignorant knowledge ? Did Fulani now what is known amongst Arabs as Il Raml and Yorubas oRumiela(RML~root) ? divination system Beliieve it or not, I am not interested in giving out references to you lot but to make your unclad knowledge wacked and know your ancestors were covered with knowledge through your ancient mothers ,whence ancient Yorubas married them. |

KingOKON:You are highly ignorant like your pained like minds because even England monarchial system, was a baby before Yoruba monarchial system medieval era. Compare Yoruba Pure virtual Art Bronze, Copper head. So your fairytale Arthur was no with the knowledge of these things and not in league with Yoruba language that stood firm for thousands of years, when English language around 11th-13th century was running helter-skelter to have a grip on her language and her kingdom. Ooni has reigned before Yorubaland in Nigeria. How much your own ancestors history and language ? Post your ancestors story and let us know if you have Neanderthal genes |

davidnazee:Google will help you know on geomancy to so that Yoruba ifaodu is ageless and the first one who did lot cast is unknown. Meanwhile Arab knowledge of lot cast is credited to the ancient Hebrew priest. . Guess who ? Help yourself with research man. In the peak of a Yorubaman, he becomes a god (rìṣá) as christians reference Pope. The pioneer of this personality was the first awni-auni-ooni(owner) and subsequently ones. Open yours and read account of visitors to Bini Book Serial: Ile-Ife: City of 201 gods (2) Prof. Jacob Olupona THE Portuguese image of Ile Ife: The Europeans saw Ile-Ife as the preeminent city-state and as an important ceremonial centre in what was then often referred to as “the Negro world.” The seafaring Portuguese, the first Europeans to explore the coast of West Africa, arrived in the fifteenth century. Although they had heard much about the city of Ile-Ife, their inability to access interior forested regions made contact very difficult. However, the Portuguese recorded their impressions of the importance of this ancient city, especially of its artistic and historical relationship and connection to the kingdom of Benin, with which the Portuguese had earlier contact. Writing in his navigational guidebook Esmeraldo de Situ Orbis, the well-known Portuguese explorer Duarte Pacheco Pereira noted that to the east of the Benin Kingdom, about one hundred leagues (four hundred miles) inland, was a country with a king named Licasaguou, who was said to be lord of many people and to possess great power. Close by, Pereira explained, another great lord,Hooguanee, “is considered among the Negroes as the Pope is among us.” |
