For the people who posted bolt is asking for cars below year 2003. Please, verify your sources.

Summary of the mail

1. Inspection ₦1,200

2.frequency of inspection: thrice a year as against twice.

3. Cars . Suv or sedan 2003 and above.

I just wonder why and where people generate and get fake news from. I was surprised myself when I received the mail from Bolt few minutes ago.

Just imagine if Bolt had not been prompt about sending the right mail people would have gone wasting money to buy cheap cars only to find out it was a fake news.

Bolt sent me the email which I posted, though I reside in pH, so probably is for pH resident.

Either the riders are playing or just stupid, I also blame drivers for this nonsense, though it can b understandable on their part in most cases, but there should b standard in all that we do. Picking Lekki for 2500 from Berger is absolute madness, even oil change is on the raising side, not to talk of other factors.

Indriver is also culpable, there should be a base fair for certain distance.

Good day all,
Please I have a job of 100k. After transportation, house rent, nepa bills I'm left with nothing.
Please I need your honest advice, should I quit and focus on Uber? Is Uber still lucrative? How much can I make as an Uber driver, driving for someone?
What are the pron and cons? How do I avoid government officials wahala?

Thanks
1. If you don't have your personal car, stick to your job.
2. If you're in a career/profession that has growth potential and it's progressive, stick to it.

You can't make your salary driving someone's car on rental basis. May be you need to look for another house if your house rent, NEPA bill & transportation take your salary. On the average, allotting 20k monthly for house rent for a year is 240k, look for a house with that budget.

Good luck to you bro

"Kia Rio review, problems and issues + nairaland"

Just get as much reviews as possible from nairalanders. For uber, people are more fixated on corollas and may not give unbiased reviews about other cars.

You're still planning on the bolt business?

Anyways, 7x shall a man fall and 7x shall he also rise.

If that's what God has directed and shown you to go into why not? Just take lessons from past experience and then pray that affliction mever rise again.

May God be with you in Jesus name. Amen!

You can check Dmechy's last post on car "problematic cars", use the knowledge he shared and DIY if there is an engine checklight just look for an electrician that can scan then see how bad it is since thats the only tools you should be needing.

Good luck!

I am telling you, bolt bad but not as ridiculous as this. riders are now quoting annoying fares and when you complain too much u get a warning.well,it's only a matter of time no one will be willing to drive on the platform again irrespective of their 9.5% which is still not justified.

They used to have a limited fee rider can put, but now is just pure rubbish, got an offline trip to addo road this evening and I'm trying to find my way back... I've been here for 30 mins now, just can't pick the stupid fare I've been seeing, VGC to Ogudu 2500 and drivers r picking it. Today one lady bid 1500 from magodo to landmark, I pick it wit the mindset to ask if she will truly embark on such trip, she just laff and cancel it. I pity for partners, ur drivers will do anything to meet up, but the car will have such a short life.

Don't try it. Instead focus on how to cut down on the expenses that are eating up your salary.
Hint: Relocation

That address is South Africa.
E fit dey possible that side.

I once got a request in V.I, rider(Lady) called and said I should help her buy Action bitters. I said okay and turned to my Indrive app.

Got a request to Alapere on Indrive.
By the time she called me back, I was almost at iyana oworo.

Rider: hello have you bought the thing?
Me: sorry I didn't see it anywhere around. I'm already on the Mainland now also.

She hissed and Cancel.

Maybe.

I also like how they include the number of rides the rider has done even though I'm not sure how relevant it is.

Bolt die hard drivers, carry strike to Bolt to effect a new price template.
Basic fares are needed apart from the bonuses given.

Way to go Uber, maybe the Moove guys had a roundtalk with them, ₦65 is just too low, embarassedfor any decent car out there...

Definitely, Bolt will jack fares, grin, presently, Bolt controls the market and they wouldn't want to be the underdog...

Indrive, well, they should work on a minimum price template ( not some douchebag trying to go from ojodu to lekki Phase 2 with 2, 000 bucks. if they want more drivers completing their orders.

Good morning Senior men,

I have the plan of getting started e-hailing as a driver. I intend to start by getting a car on rental.

My question is can I make N25,000 weekly and comfortably after paying the rental fee of N25,000, buying of fuel and other relevant expenses.

As a driver on rental can I get N25,000 as my weekly salary to take care of my family?

Please elders on the platform, I need your sincere input.

God no go shame us!

You never mentioned d city, Los, PH, Abj

The right questions should be

a. Can i put in @ least 11 hours on the average daily?

b. Can I get a good car and a principal willing to take 25k weekly rental?

c. Am I able to prioritize my principal's 25k weekly before satisfying my own immediate needs? If yes, then give it a try.

I'm assuming you can drive properly. Also, you are not quitting @ least a 100k job to drive on rentals.

Thank you Senior man.

I am based in Lagos. I am actually into printing business. Business is not smooth at the moment. I can still drive and do my print jobs if I have printing orders from clients.

I can put in over 11 hours daily if it warrants it.

Of course the owners pay is and should be the priority as it is not easy to get a capital buying a car.

What I need to know is if I can be able to make up to N25,000 as a take home pay after work diligently without magic or miracle.

Thanks.

That's a tall order, to be sincere with you. Even if you can possibly make 25k for yourself driving on rental, it will take some time of mastering the job very well, but since you're looking at possibility of earning 25k after remittance, you will get wornout if after 1-2 months you don't earn such.

Since you're not into a paid employment, you can give it a trial and see if it is better than what you have at the moment, if it is not, you can always go back to your printing biz.

Good luck
