Hello everyone Huge thumbs up to the gurus here I studied marine science in school, graduated with a 2:2 in 2017. I’ve never worked with my degree before. I switched to a Tech job after learning online in 2019 and I’ve been working in a tech role since then. I applied to a college in Canada for a course in the tech role I’ve been working as. I want to ask if I’m on the right path to apply for a student visa? And what are my approval chances? Thank you. Cc @Frankrobbn1 1 Like |

ooa1st: But I'm sure IRCC don't expect the money to just be sitting down in the account like that. |

Briz: The 25% funds from your sister must be explained with adequate proof. You shouldn't be silent about it as the immigration officer will have the impression that you borrowed the money from her in order to facilitate your study visa application. Your sister should tender a letter of support stating that she transferred the said amount into your account in support of your studies in Canada. Also include the transaction records as reference. The family information form IMM5645E should have the details of your siblings resident abroad namely: their addresses, current employment status, full names etc. It will end in praise 1 Like |

fairlytreated: Congratulations on the approval of your study permit and that of your dependent children. To answer your question, I can understand how difficult it is for you to leave your beloved spouse (husband) behind. However, this is a sacrifice you've to make in order to ensure that his application is favourably considered by the immigration authorities of Canada. Having said that, It's important you travel to Canada and obtain the relevant documents such as your study permit letter and SIN as well as proof of accommodation in Canada prior to applying for him. If you apply for him to join you while you're still in Nigeria, the immigration might not issue him an exemption authorization letter and the processing of his application might be prolonged. This is my professional advice for you and your family. I wish you all the best. It will end in praise 6 Likes |

TOMSY: Hi Tomsy.. really? How about the GMAT? Did you write that? Although my program of interest is an MBA, what documents did you submit during your application? Also is the entrance funding only available to some graduate programs? I remember reading up somewhere that they don’t provide entrance funding but they have funding opportunities for students after they have been admitted and have commenced their program. |

BornToSucced: You can defer your admission in the event that you might not be able to meet up with the program start date. Contact the graduate admissions of your school to request for a deferment. It will end in praise 1 Like |

Yes you can defer you admission to next year if you feel you won't be able to enrol for the fall term by September 2021. Just write to FGPA administrative officer. I hope this help. God bless. BornToSucced: 1 Like |
