Hello everyone

Huge thumbs up to the gurus here

I studied marine science in school, graduated with a 2:2 in 2017. I’ve never worked with my degree before. I switched to a Tech job after learning online in 2019 and I’ve been working in a tech role since then.

I applied to a college in Canada for a course in the tech role I’ve been working as.

I want to ask if I’m on the right path to apply for a student visa? And what are my approval chances?

Thank you.

Yes, IRCC verify the account provided from the bank

Yes, IRCC can request for the same account statement in 4 months times (becoming a recent practice)

But I'm sure IRCC don't expect the money to just be sitting down in the account like that.

*URGENT* I need to turn in my application today.
My dad transferred to me 50% of required funds. My sister in the US has been sending funds monthly to my dorm account which accounts for 25% of required funds. I would be getting letter of support from my dad and I will also state it in my SOP that I got gift deed from him. Do I need to do same for my sister? Or should I say I'm rendering a service to my sister and she is paying me. Or should I just be silent about it?

Do I also need to write anywhere that I have a sibling in Canada, US or the declaration on the family information on the IMM form is sufficient?

Thanks for your speedy response.

Gbogbo wa la ma je breakfast.

The 25% funds from your sister must be explained with adequate proof. You shouldn't be silent about it as the immigration officer will have the impression that you borrowed the money from her in order to facilitate your study visa application. Your sister should tender a letter of support stating that she transferred the said amount into your account in support of your studies in Canada. Also include the transaction records as reference.

The family information form IMM5645E should have the details of your siblings resident abroad namely: their addresses, current employment status, full names etc.

I have been a silent reader and the information contained here is priceless. My unreserved greetings to the gurus and everyone here for the contributions. Just a quick one. So, I received my visa approval since December. I later applied for my 3 children afterwards and got their visas approved. I won't be studying till Fall 2021 as I just rounded up the second semester.
The problem is I have been married for 12 years and we have never been separated. I am planning to also add my spouse so we can get decision before fall 2021. Is this safe? I won't be able to concentrate if he doesn't come with the family. @Frankrobbn1 and other gurus please advice

HELP NEEDED HERE!!!

Congratulations on the approval of your study permit and that of your dependent children. To answer your question, I can understand how difficult it is for you to leave your beloved spouse (husband) behind. However, this is a sacrifice you've to make in order to ensure that his application is favourably considered by the immigration authorities of Canada. Having said that, It's important you travel to Canada and obtain the relevant documents such as your study permit letter and SIN as well as proof of accommodation in Canada prior to applying for him. If you apply for him to join you while you're still in Nigeria, the immigration might not issue him an exemption authorization letter and the processing of his application might be prolonged.

This is my professional advice for you and your family. I wish you all the best.

By God's grace, I got this admission without writing GRE. However, writing GRE may improve your chances of getting an entrance funding.

Hi Tomsy.. really? How about the GMAT? Did you write that?
Although my program of interest is an MBA, what documents did you submit during your application? Also is the entrance funding only available to some graduate programs? I remember reading up somewhere that they don’t provide entrance funding but they have funding opportunities for students after they have been admitted and have commenced their program.

But the problem is that, I am currently engage in a project that won't allow me to enrol for the admission till maybe next year.

Please can I deferred the admission till next year while also saving money for the entire journey?

Thanks

You can defer your admission in the event that you might not be able to meet up with the program start date. Contact the graduate admissions of your school to request for a deferment.

Yes you can defer you admission to next year if you feel you won't be able to enrol for the fall term by September 2021. Just write to FGPA administrative officer.

I hope this help.
God bless.

Hello everyone,

Please is this the current rate? I mean for the 235 cad visa application fee?

$1 is 385naira now

$235 × 386 naira = 90,475

Is this rate ok? Or should I open a Dom account, would it be cheaper?

Ontario is one of the best province in terms of job availability and pay but standard of living is high shaa but you can overcome if you decipline yourself

A pgd and masters are two different levels of programs whixh is dependent on your undergraduate scores.
