Someone credited my account repeatedly for two days.
Three weeks after, they called to tell me that they mistakenly sent money into my account. Coincidentally, the person happen to be from my tribe, and he's from a family that I know.
For the three weeks. I did not touch kobo from the money. Although my friend whom I shared what happened with asked me to loan him part of the money which I refused. On that very day that he asked me to loan him the money was the day the owner of the money called.
Thank God I did not spend the money.

Mine happened last week Friday.

I mistakenly credited over 200k to an account with UBA.

I contacted my bank and UBA and they said I should try and reach out to the person to return it as they see it as a Business gone wrong.

I told them I don't have the person's number but they couldn't provide it.

So I went through my own channel and I have gotten the guys Picture, Phone Number, BVN, NIN and all required details.

If you are the scammer that used the UBA Account with Mathew Abdullahi to dupe me, I will find you with the last breath in me and if you agree to return the unspent part of it, we won't have problem but if you prove difficult, I won't mind finding you with Death and pain.

I know their accomplice are on this platform.

Yuda Wesley is a name my friend will never forget.
Sometimes last year, I accompanied a friend of mine to get a used smart TV. When the deal was done , the seller gave us the access bank account number to pay to. My friend forgot to confirm the name of the seller who obviously is a Muslim(All the signs were present ). He erroneously sent the name to some Yuda Wesley. It was on a Friday so we hurriedly went to the bank. While I went to the beneficiary bank, he went to the sending bank. Thankfully we were able to out a restriction on that particular amount. It wasn't easy getting it back because the account owner never went to the bank to complain of any irregularities. We had to get a court order and paid a barrister before the money was returned to the account

Hmm. Aunty, for person of my age and dues weh I don pay. 1m or $2k now, but at that time $3k @340 no suppose be too much issue naa.

I bought a boxer worth of 1k cos the guy was hawking pass my house. Mistakenly transferred 10k to his account. Wasn't aware till I got back into the house. Tried locating him, went to his bank and wrote series of letters from my own bank to his bank and that was how my money entered voicemail. 4 years later thank God I am bigger pass that.

It wasn't a funny experience tho

First, was Access Bank crediting my account twice, after my Dad made a deposit to my account. This happened about three years ago. I guess it was network problem, because I received credit alert message twice.

They never contacted me, and my account was never debited.

Second, was by Unity bank, who credited my account twice, after a client transferred some money to my account.

How do I make a refund?

Why 50k for court order? I suspect transfer originated from Access.

December 25th 2020 i was supposed to Transfer ₦150,000 Deposit for wife's CS ,wifey sent me the hospital's account number ,some how i didn't know my hand touched a beneficiary already saved and I didn't crosscheck the details i sent the money to another UBA account that has not be used for 5 years ,i spent ₦50,000 to get a court order,it took UBA 2 months and 14 days to reverse the money with calls and plenty going to the bank

Mine was still fresh, October last year a colleague in the office wanted to get a car, so he told me he will transfer 500k to me that day and balance it up next day, naxo baba do mistake for account number put 4 instead of 3.. And it was weekend, we almost run mad. The transaction was from Polaris to FCMB, we quickly mail the 2 banks but the response was poor, we need to wait till Monday to complain at FCMB, thank God the guy as not spent on touch the money, naxo FCMB help us to hold the 500k, and told us we will write a letter or wrong transfer, naxo we start process o... We collected court order, spend money and went to twitter, the money was finally reverse last month. It is not a good experience at all. But thanks to both banks FCMB and POLARIS..

U wouldn’t have gone thru this if the person is willing to refund it or was it a dormant account... anyways congratulations!!!!

My own experience is funny
Someone mistakenly transfer 200MB to my Airtel line and called me immediately and this is the sim I just left on my small phone not actually using it.. I told him how are we going to do it naso baba gimme some code to dial then I sent his 200MB baba didn’t even call back to say thank you!!!

Mine happened during the MMM boom period I was on my own someone transfered 5.5m into my firstbank account, out of fear I quickly transfered my small change of 9k out of the account to another account, I didn't tell anybody of the development and I didnt even call the bank as well to inform them I just kept mute, every dayi wake up I always check my account balance, see money staring at me. that money was in my account for over 5 months+ Omo na so one day every where red it was during Christmas period.. oboy the rest is history na so I take blow from there. Christmas was sweet that year till date nobody contacted me to qstn me nd I still make use of my account Na so God take bless me.

GT Bank is a useless Bank. I mistakenly transferred 6100 from my GTBANK account to another GT account. I called customer service and they told me to go to the bank and complain I did and wrote a letter addressing it to the branch manager to help me reverse it. Up till now for almost two months now, nothing has been done. One of the staff at the bank was like 6100 is not too much now, I can leave it. She probably knew people with more heavy complaints without resolution. Nigerian banking system is naturally configured to aid fraud.

But I have been credited 3 times from different people,2 was online i no sabi him and he no sabi me at all,na just online trade.
In the first case the person sent it to my friend's account but I was the one that gave him the account through site but my friend spent it,naso I tell the man to chill for me but he thought I spent the money and he said if I'm not sending the 12k I should forget it then.
I was so angry I went to my friend's house and waited till like 10pm but he no show,the next morning I went with a guy to his house in case he wan try form smart guy but he gave me 10k and I went to bank to pay the dude,the man was so surprised and grateful when I called.
The second one was on the same site,30k I think.
I immediately sent the money back when the guy called me to notify me.

A friend of mine mistakenly transfer 18k from GTBANK to Zenith Bank through Mobile App two months ago.
He has been calling, visiting GTBANK and even visited Zenith but the money is yet to be reversed.
It's painful though.
I don't know why he didn't double check b4 the password.
Note; He wanted to transfer from one of his GTBANK account to another GTBANK account.

I was a student then with only 900 naira in my account. I couldn't withdraw or transfer it for some reason I don't remember. I decided to trek the long distance to the ATM so I can credit my phone and send SOS call back home... Instead of 070 I send N900 to 080. I cried all the way home that night.
